Ahello again. I would be grateful if someone can help with Rhino and IL2. It is the only device connected so nothing interferes and IL2 recognises the device when started up but when I try to map it the game does not listen to the Rhino and can´t do anything
NYou likely have too many usb devices. Lot of people use HIDHide to mask unneeded devices from IL2. But you can test just by disconnecting any devices you don’t use in IL2.
AYes, that is what I did. I unplugged almost everything and still nothing. It is annoying.
ACould it be related to the port selected in the telemetry text added in the LUA file?

NNo, that’s completely unrelated to the joystick. IL2 doesn’t even know it’s related to the joystick. It’s just sending packets to an IP address.
I’ve never had to work through the issue myself so I can’t give you any other tips, but I’ve seen others with the same issue (can bind but doesn’t respond in flight) solve it with hidhide

CHello! Was getting back into my tomcat and viggen yesterday, and noticed the autopilots did not seem to work as intended. is there something in the special settings that I need to enable or somewhere else to get these working correctly with the rhino base?

DIs there a way to make the pedals do a self test? like make them move on their own from min-to-max range for a few times? I want to see that the motor is pushing the pedals to their max

Dalso, is there a way to have the Joystick and Pedals named separately? unfortunately when I choose a USB Device Ident for one, the other gets that name too..
WChange the USB PID to 2054 for pedals and 2055 for Joystick
WWindows doesn't support different JS names for the same PID

DI was thinking it would be good to see it move from minimum to maximum range to check and visually see if it has consistency in the belt / motor movement etc. putting my feet on it and moving it to maximum I don't want to influence it's own movement
Dthis is a brand new, never used rhino (motor) pedals and I want to make sure it's all working as expected

PWhen I bank left or right there seems to be some inertia that carries the stick further into the turn than it should. I would think that the inertia setting would fix this but I haven’t had luck with that yet. Can anyone suggest what setting I might want to tweak?
AHi @Number481 I solved it. Indeed my problem was that IL2 already had 8 devices identified. Not sure when IL2 included the Winwing MIP screens but yes, that was the issue. The post you gave me was actually not necessary but gave me the info I needed. It was as simple as opening the IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\input\devices.txt and delete all unnecessary devices. Then open IL2 and map the Rhino as usual. Great info, thanks very much!!!
RYea I ran into that one with IL2. I had to do some wild contortions of Joystick “melding” to stick with their mind shatteringly primitive DirectInput Windows 97 limitations.

But it will do to your device whatever you tell it to.
