XIf you are getting a blank screen on gamescope after creating that conf file you can simply remove it and gamescope will load with the system CLIENTCMD options
Hnp will look into a workaround fot making steamlink work in gamescope session at least, wont make it auto work on desktop though since it will cause the portal popup to appear each time steam starts

WDo you think it would be worth having a linux-for-beginners or some other named channel in this discord? We have quite a few people that have just switched over from Windows and it might be a nice place for them to ask questions there
XI could see the benefit in that. Bazzite is getting recommended quite a bit to people who maybe havent tried linux before.

also i saw you have an nvidia card, can you confirm in system settings that you are in the X11 session (as that is the most stable for nvidia users atm until new driver lands)

SCan confirm NVidia 2070Super; I am on X11 due to the aformentioned issues with Wayland

SSome more info, fwiw - I had this also occour on Wayland, and also initially thought it to be a GNOME/Mutter issue, as it was happening (Seemingly more frequently) there, but moved to Plasma 6 on a fresh install, and still occouring
Hthe perf message has to do with cpu frequency scaling, might not be what actually causes the issue though

What are your thoughts on the feasibility of a ujust command that sets up ALVR for folks that want VR gaming on Bazzite? I didn't see it in the commands and unsure if this is a ridiculous ask. But was curious.
Hwell i have no VR stuff so i cannot do any testing, so if you give me a 100% reliable way to put it on bazzite i can make an ujust for it whenever i have the time to sit down with it.
