There's still somebody working on it, but they seem to only be focused on updating the legal documentation to make sure everyone know they have nothing to do everybody else

my preferences is flatpak > appimage > distrobox > layer for gui, then brew > binary > distrobox > layer for cli

i really reeeally dont get why use an appimage at all? you can totally jsut run bwrap and mount stuff dynamically just like flatpak does, instead of doing all the weird ass appimage things
