PI just turned Constant & Periodic Effects down to 40% from 50%. Need to test at that.
WTry reducing periodic effect LPF, try in the range 10-20Hz
Also try without the inertia effect

PCheers I'll test asap & get back to you. It might just be that the Kiowa will need a bit more tweaking in the config profile.

PI've reduced the Periodic Effects LPF down to 10Hz & the Periodic & Constant Effects are set at 40% down from the default 50% & I am still getting x axis shut down with ETL effect. I had a similar situation with the Hornet module the other night when first swapping to the new version of TelemFFB from the older python style install version one of the effects (maybe G forces) was set too high & the x axis motor was the one to shut down. Would there be any reason software or hardware wise why it's always the x axis motor? Thanks for any help
PI've lowered ETL effect to 5% & the axis seems stable, though the effect is no longer very strong
PThe axis is still cutting out with LPF @ 10% effects setting @ 40% & the telemffb effect for ETL is only 5%

PIdk it's 3:15am for me I'm going to bed. The main cause seems to be ETL effect & any rapid or semi rapid left/right movement.
NWalmis would know best how the combinations of higher gain settings work together... but unless you are turning it down with the override in TelemFFB, %40 damper is really high, especially with %10 on Inertia and Friction.
I have my profile set up at %40 damper in configurator, but the damper effect override in TelemFFB drops that down a lot further at %30 on the slider (so %30 of %40, or about %12 actual)

JHello, building my DIY Rhino, do I need to order a CUI MD-50PL100 5 pin connector if i'm using a VKB Gunfighter grip? I'm guessing no need for it
TI would put it in and build the kit as documented.
Why? What if you decide to switch stick grip in the future?
The TM and Virpil want that 5pin connector.
I’m not sure the work around for a VKB stick grip but I’d want to be able to fit as many (potential) grips as possible.
You’ll have the Rhino for awhile… It’s probably the last base we all buy/build so it really needs to be “future proof” as far as compatibility

PHey m8, I haven't got far into learning it yet, just the start up & beginning to look at nav. It's close to or is feature complete as far as I understand it. It's not like the Apache obviously so if you don't have the Apache or even the Black Shark 3 & want an attack heli get one of them. As far as a scout/light attack heli it's good & when/if they make the LINK system work between the Kiowa & Apache it'll be even better. Maybe not as much use for it on MP servers I'm not sure, but if you do SP or MP missions I think you could find some really cool things for it to do. As far as flight model etc. it feels great.

GHi, were you able to stop the X motor from shutting down? If not, have you tried disabling the axis scaling due to the unbalance between left X axis and right X axis, just for testing?
PI use a physical limiter & those axis scaling settings keep everything calibrated/centered
PSo atm with these settings things are stable 
GI see, with Inertia and friction disabled, the shutdown is gone.
PNo, in fact I tested that last night & it persisted. It may have helped a small amount but I couldn't say so. I think the main thing was turning the LPF for damper down 1hz to 3.0hz & 7% seems to be stable for the ETL effect.
B@BAKE Hello, I'm trying to make my own extension cable from the rhino base to a winwing stick, did this pin out work for you?
TThat pinout is only for TM stick on Winwing base. It won’t work the other way around without the WW adapter internals.
BOk, so you need to have a special parts besides just the connectors to go from the rhino to winwing. So what do I need?
I have the adapter but I can't get it tight enough even with o-rings installed to stop from twisting. I was trying to come up with my own adapter machined from aluminum but need a wire harness now.

SIn the process of turning my base around and reversing the grip connector the yellow wire had come out of the white connector. I have managed to push it back in and it appears to be working ok at the moment but wondered if this is readily available cable I could purchase either locally, or via VPForce, and easily replace if my temporary fix doesn’t hold up?

OHas anyone managed to replace the fan with a quieter one (like a Noctua). Or if not can you share any details of what spec fan (size and plug) I should be looking for?
WI'll add provisions to the new firmware to adjust the fan settings to make them more quieter

OThats why I was leaning towards upgrading the fan - to ensure airflow would stay the same but noise should come down
OI wouldn't want to just turn the fan speed down to make it quieter and then find its causing problems with component heat and life
Wnah, it won't cause any issues since motors have thermal management built in. But anyway the fan specs are: 60x60x10, 12V
