Question is what is the software driving it going to look like, I understand they already have a background with cockpit building, but again a big advantage of Rhino is the extensibility of it essentially making custom effects outside of the sim

Some of those simulation features seem like they can work outside of sim, which would be important for rudders since right now a lot of the Rhino rudder features have to happen outside of the sim given the lack of FFB rudder support broadly

I'll definitely be interested in something like this down the road once MSFS 24 is out and DCS C130 is out given someone has a way to make the yoke work in DCS

According to someone on Reddit when I mentioned the lack of fans and the Brunner that overheats easily he said his Moza wheel base never overheats and the motor has a large heatsink on them so shouldn’t in this case either, but I don’t know, there’s two of them in this compared to the one in a wheelbase.

I tend to agree on that though as I have a Fanatec DD2 wheelbase so a much stronger motor and that never overheats.

Also saw a few comments on the Rhino’s fans being very loud when they kick in, wasn’t happy to hear that.

Let's take a step back and consider the company's history.

They're fairly new to the consumer public, and had a crowdfund project up on Indigogo for their yokes.

They're close to fulfilling Yoke orders, with current projected shipment according to shop page being end of July.

They are situated in China.

I remember a time when WinWing was pretty similar in terms of presentation quality. They've vastly improved their whole brand look over the years.

Another neat thing about their yoke is you can upgrade from a cls-60 to a cls-120 by just buying a new motor

Yeah, if I had the funds I'd seriously consider grabbing one at the current price and hoping people can figure out software side down the road.

But, I just bought my first car a month ago (only took 32 years lmao) so my days of big purchases like the Rhino are done for the time being
