everything related to steam is inside your users home folder
to reset it without losing important stuff (proton prefixes, saves, games, etc)

Switching to 'scaled by the system' instead of letting apps scale themselves in Display Settings seems to have fixed my scaling issues in docked mode, no idea if it's going to break stuff in handheld mode though

toolbox is the simple tool, good for cli stuff.
Distrobox, is the complex tool, that can do everything though.

Might be better to explicitly list what it deletes rather than excluding what it doesn't delete

Actually now that I think about it - KDE isn't running in Game Mode at all, so it's scaling settings wouldn't matter, would they?

That should work. Next time you start steam it will reinstall but your games and other stuff should still be there

as i've understood it, what you gotta do is pick a lower resolution ingame and then it will work automatically to scale up to the devices display, but in bazzite idk what resolution i even have

The Desktop files are a standard, but in case of KDE Plasma, you could just use the menu editor
