Actually now that I think about it - KDE isn't running in Game Mode at all, so it's scaling settings wouldn't matter, would they?

The Bazzite docs are really good. Are the docs mostly done by just Nick? I did pick up a minor issue that the anchor links don't seem to work so I cannot link a specific section in the docs

That should work. Next time you start steam it will reinstall but your games and other stuff should still be there

create a .desktop.desktop file in the ~/.local/share/applications/~/.local/share/applications/ directory

nope you need to make the .desktop.desktop file yourself
you can use menu editors to just add it to the menu, kde has one built in, i think on gnome you can use menulibremenulibre?

working directory is which directory the executable will be launched from as it will alter the behavior for some applications

as i've understood it, what you gotta do is pick a lower resolution ingame and then it will work automatically to scale up to the devices display, but in bazzite idk what resolution i even have

The Desktop files are a standard, but in case of KDE Plasma, you could just use the menu editor

kay, so whats the consensus with removing feral gamemode? I know there is system76-scheduler that deals with process niceness and so, but found out some weird behavior with running games without it.

Im doing some testing with XIVlauncher.
This is what happens when launching the game without it enabled (image 1).
Now with feral enabled in the launcher (image 2) and running gamemoded (gamemode daemon, probably a leftover, image 2) now it works (image 3).

That reminds me back then, with heroic launcher and Dying light, the game refused to launch. It only launched if i opened Steam, which Im suspicious if the later uses gamemode in some way.
