Sthat's a pretty neat use case for FFB that I hadn't considered honestly
SI only have a cheap G29 ish wheel and didn't care to buy a shifter because I'm much less interested in cars/driving, but if I had a Rhino already...
BWould be more interesting to have this for a ffb throttle with detents. But thats me.

LLooks like the Virpil FLNKR grip has modules like the VKB Gunfighter Ultimate
LNot sure what to think about the single stage trigger though

RI hate thet all the grips are going light weight metal. I prefer the lighter alpha grip. Also makes tuning the rhino center point easier than with my heavy warthog grip.
Awell the warthog is exceptionally heavy

NIf he used an analog switch for paddle switch that could double as a brake lever, I would have already bought one of his super nice grips

WIt would probably 99% work if the hardware button/hat layout is somewhat consistent with their other grips
RHaving resin RealSimulator F-16 and F-18 grips, I never want a "metal" grip. I guess it's preferable to cheap plastic

Pyeah a light weight high quality plastic or resin is way better with the Rhino imho. A really nice light weight metal would be good too, the WW F-18 grip isn't too heavy, then compare to the VKB mcgu which feels like a club on the end of an extension. I blame TM for the "metal grips are superior quality" idea 
Rexcept Thrustmaster wasn't. That painted cheap cast alloy is terrible. They were maybe superior to the cheap joystick plastic shells of the 2000s
BThe buttons where heavier, and it helps when your only competition has design flaws in everything causing them to fail after a few months.
I found it interesting how my warthog throttle and virpil throttle weighed exactly the same, people still seem to think, "It's heavy, it must be quality."
The warthog had double steel bottom plates with half a dozen lead weights attached, the rest apart from the stamped sheets on top of the grip is plastic and glue.
I've gotten less flex out things I've 3d printed than those throttle levers.

Poh yeah I agree TM metal was/is crap, but their marketing was good to get ppl to believe that metal must mean better.
DTM Warthog is like 100 years old now, when you compare it to the plastic grips of the time it came out, the metal TM really wasnt that bad. Now though its just outdated by a mile
AF-16EX and MCGU weigh about the same, the latter is more top heavy, though
Ptbh from what I've heard the Tm had decent buttons, hats, switches. I just like crapping on TM they had the high end hotas market to themself & did no innovation etc. it took them 15yrs to change the tdc on the throttle. They have finally bought out a cam/spring base & the other companies are starting to move to ffb I wonder how long it'll take them to release one? 15yrs again.

Severybody who is still recommending TM is just coping because they paid so much and ive paid less for a superior product from another company
