WH throttle main board chip is vulnerable to static . I had to replace the chip and wiring in both throttle grips (and the 3-position switch in left throttle while I was at it). Better than new now, but of course STECS was released right after that so I haven't used it at all.
The pedal trim settings in DCS are useless since DCS doesnβt support FFB pedals. TelemFFB overrides the FFB spring for DIY pedals in DCS. Otherwise, all of the FFB commands meant for the cyclic get sent to the pedals as well.
Ahh but the feel of the cool metal....I notice it every time e I put my hands on the metal f18 super taurus throttle...I don't remember what the t37 and t38 stick grips felt like...kc135 yoke was metal...airbus stick is plastic...as much as we badmouth TM...warthog was king for a long time...and the pendulum pedals while exhibiting cheapness are a great design and have a real feel to them because they don't vary in width as you move them.
Warthog was only "king" because there was nothing else on the market. As soon as there was competition, it got outshined, because the competition actually y'know, innovated
yes but another way of looking at that is how far ahead of time they were able to bring a hotas to market...that they decided not to compete down the road is another story but so many of us enjoyed years of the warthog when it was the only game in town.
and I really don't see a reason to compare apples to oranges. Real viper grip is resin, so resin it should be (RS, TH). But real flanker grip is not resin, so it's kinda weird to be talking about MCGU/FLNKR as swinging a club on the end of an extension
Many real grips are resin but viper and warthog are both investment cast aluminum, which feels much different than zinc and feels closer to plastic. Essex still makes them.. Iβll link later when I get home

could the power supply that is in the prebuilt ffb base also power another motor for ffb pedals? If not, I already have a 1000w meanwell 24v power supply (UHP-1000-24), could that be swapped in to power both?
I like the look of the Virpil FLNKR grip for me it will come down to the weight and whether I want to swap out the CM2 grip and how much that will be. I find the CM2 is a good choice with the Rhino for flightsims and then I use the Alpha primes on non-ffb bases for space sims
And a 3D printed cover if you want to make sure noone touches the contacts and causes a short. I am using self extinguishing, hardly flammable filament. Just to be 100% sure.

Real Warthog grip, not TM's tribute version. Real Warthog grip has no pinky paddle and terminates straight at the bottom for center mounting unlike F16 that has a 13deg fwd angle for side stick ergonomy. But just like the F16 grip it is derrived from, it is investment cast aluminum https://essexindustries.com/products/a-10-flight-control-stick-grip/
... And I love it. I had Alpha and Alpha Prime... I went back to TM's A-10C and F/A-18 grips. But I'm def getting a FLNKR. it feels super nice in the hand, and the new hat design is very clever.
BTW I know I mentioned this "somewhere" but the hat design of the FLNKR is new. When you press down slightly on the hat to actuate the center switch, it gets "locked to center" so that the other four (or 8? I don't know) switches cannot also be activated. That was the main thing I didn't like about the Alpha grips.
Important is the Amps the PSU can deliver. The more the better of course, but you can limit the power draw of the motors in the software. So when your PSU can deliver 40 Amps (make sure that the Amps can be delivered on the rail you are using if the PSU has more than one) you can power 4 motors with 10 Amps each or 5 with 8 and so on.
Hi all, some assistance required - I am looking to use a VKB Tomcat Grip with the VP Rhino - I want to floor mount the Rhno and need ~200mm extension by my calculations; can I use the VKB one or will I need a third party, and what adapters will be required? Many thanks in advance.
