CSteam definitely launched on dedicated graphics, and so did kerbal. Great news. I assume this is normally the default behaviour and something odd is happening for me?

.desktop file that requests the "other" gpu. but it doesnt work properly in switcheroo (the system that handles swithcing gpus)Hso we have a patched switcheroo where the behavior is fixed
KWe ship a patched switcheroo, so what should be happening is your card is determined to be discreet and then selected as the default for things that request it like Steam
KFor some reason though, as you pointed out, yours is unknown and not properly marked
