It’s the flight design , I’ve got my FFB rudder pedals , keyboard, V3 motion rig, warthog throttle and the PICO.
It doesn’t do it if I remove the stick and plug the stick base in.

I’m out now, to be honest I don’t even know what telemffb is, I was hoping that it was just plug and play for the money.

telemffb is required for it to do anything in msfs. download this and install. https://vpforcecontrols.com/downloads/TelemFFB/VPforce-TelemFFB-20240705.zip
run it when running msfs. remove ANY axis (pitch roll rudder) binding in msfs.

The VP Force configurator is a “set up, calibrate, and Keybinds” software.

It does control the main effects but they are generalized.

Telemffb is the software you set the various effects “per game” and “per module”.

So you tell Telemffb you’re playing DCS and it pulls info from DCS while it’s running and using that data it produces “effects” that you can set the strength and intensity of.

Telem saves the profile and now everytime you fire up DCS and jump in the Jug (p-47) the screen on Telem says “DCS” and says what module your flying “p47” and it will play the effects, at the intensity, you previously set OR that are just streaming in from DCS.

I assume it’s somewhat similar for MSFS but I haven’t tried the Rhino with MSFS.

Others for sure have so it works I’m just trying to explain what and why you want to use both the configurator AND Telem and keep them both open while you play.

(Minimize them or whatever)

+1 to what smitty said (and also -- the configurator is only the calibration/firmware settings app, it does NOT provide any effects, only allows you to set limits/calibrations/gain maps/firmware level button configurations. It does not need to be running as its settings gets stored into the device, assuming you press Store Settings, a 2nd step after using Apply Settings). Also MSFS is very different than DCS because MSFS does NOT have native FFB support. It only works through TelemFFB, but also has some setup/requirements steps (definitely refer to the TelemFFB manual for setting this up, if you're not very savvy with computers and hardware, MSFS is the hard mode relative to DCS and IL2 for force feedback)

Nope it doesn’t provide the effects but it controls them.

If you turn them off in the config they don’t exist for Telem

Same as the pots will override whatever other settings you use.

For me I always run it all but I’m also ALWAYS messing with something… like I’m never ever set up I feel like lol

2 mm is the smallest hex I found, but it's not an L-shape (I think it came with Stecs) and I can't get it inserted properly with the belt on.

There are multiple holes, but usually you only need one screw, because there is only one flat face on the shaft.

Hi, I have a query regarding my newest Rhino ( I have 2) - its only 1 few months old and gets lightly used as a Helo cyclic base only. I have noticed a few times now, it suddenly turns the fans on full blast, when I have not been been using it....like just now, which prompted me. The PC has been sat idle, downloading the Afghanistan map and the update for 3 hours or so and yet suddenly, the fans come on for about 2 minutes full blast...and I have not even used it today! Is this right?

I would pull up the VP configurator and have a look at the temperatures. The fan should only start if the temp goes above 50 C.
When you have your Rhino powered and for some reason it‘s vibrating (can happen when the gains and low pass filters are mismatched) I could imagine that it will slowly warm up….. but thats very theoretical and probably unlikely

Yeah, I'd check the telemetry output, what are the motor currents at idle? Maybe it's configured to balance a heavy stick/extension, it will def heat up over time.

does anyone else get in-game joystick jittering in DCS when using Periodic Effects? I have to turn the effects down to nearly zero otherwise the in game joystick and subsequent control surfaces (ailerons and elevator) continuously jitter. For reference, I'm using a VKB grib with a small VKB extension (dont think that it matters in this case but I could be dead wrong) and flying the Spitfire.

Big difference between the virpil software and the virpil joystick tester.

The latter works for any joystick even xbx gamepads.
As its just looking for any HID input and display graphs for axes and numbered buttons.
