I can game on it and watch videos. It only happens when it's lowering power, I've seen Intel machines have success with acpi settings, but I don't think we have them in and bios

look into see if rsyslog is an option for you, we use that at my work to diagnose machines that tend to crash randomly with our software, it writes to /var/log/messages whatever you configure it to write, we have it setup to write dmesg logs
