that kinda sounds like you need something like log-messages so you can monitor dmesg in between boots

look into see if rsyslog is an option for you, we use that at my work to diagnose machines that tend to crash randomly with our software, it writes to /var/log/messages whatever you configure it to write, we have it setup to write dmesg logs

first command adds the mullvad repository, second layers mullvad, third (after rebooting) enables the service
