LODs appearing inside render distance and not being updated
screenshot is one of the examples
couldnt get the not being updated part but sometimes i break a tree and it still loads the LOD if i am 16 blocks away from it, might be related to help-meChunk LODS only save when leaving the game

Solution
It is intended behavior, you can change it in the settings
Overdraw Prevention, note that if you increase it to 1.0, when you move quickly, vanilla terrain may not be able to load in time and you will be left with a hole in the world
