Hey if I have windows games I want to install on the desktop side so I can get the game files (say from a GOG installer), what's the best application for that? What I do is copy the game files over to a folder and add in to Steam and configure for proton in there instead.
And just to be clear I don't care how a game does it's rendering as long as it looks good but real time rendering is more impressive because it is being done live on the hardware but sometimes like with the Nintendo switch that's not really possible like Metroid prime remastered I'm pretty sure runs at 720P or 900P locked 60FPS and looks really good but obviously it uses baked lighting and stuff to pull it off which isn't a bad thing
i always be more impressed to optimization done in game, just like how tf are you rendering fuck ton of entity and still manages to do atleast 60 fps if not more. it just weird to me why are you doing RT now (it is old tech) when you cant even do it without hitting performance loss
the promise of having a completely new, easier pipeline for lighting isn't lost on them and the hope is that by the time it's ready we will have a generation of people ready to save time on their work by using it
