Has anyone had success dual-booting Bazzite and Bluefin?
Lyou know anything about it? i forgot to add my PCI device but now when I add it the VM refuses to boot. (i have went through the guide of adding it because i have had a Windows VM before)
Tno i literally just use gnome boxes and it works

HHey friends! I'm new to Bazzite... is the expected behavior that "switch to desktop" leaves gaming mode and goes right to whatever DE (I used gnome)? Or will it stop at the display manager to choose a session?

KGoing straight to your desktop is expected, that's exactly how Steam OS functions
KYou're never shown the login screen
KIf you need a lock screen, Steam can provide one in its own settings in game mode
Lcould you help me get it running, it doesnt want to run with my GPU when i add the PCI passthrough to the VM.
Lbefore i added it, it just crashed during install. (hope thats the reason)

HOk, yeah, that's what i'm used to with my SteamDeck... with Bazzite, however, it just returns back to gaming mode after i try to go to desktop.

CThe trick is that to install fedora atomic twice, you need to create a separate system-efi partition for the second copy
CWindows can be added to each copy of Grub; there may or may not be a way to add other copies/types of Linux, I don't know, but it doesn't happen automatically
CThe only way (that I know of) to toggle between Bazzite and Bluefin installed in parallel is the BIOS/UEFI boot menu
CWhich is entirely doable - it's just much less convenient than going directly through Grub

CAgain, someone who knows more about configuring Grub might have a way to add boot options from elsewhere on the system, since it works for Windows

FI had nix and silverblue on the same system at one point and nix's grub could recognize silverblue deployments? So probably possible somehow
AGrub is grub, pretty sure you can easily use same efi for traditional distro
CUsually you can. The tricky part is that I was effectively installing two copies of the same OS in parallel, which an automated installer can't really do in the same place without name/reference conflicts
AI mean you are already use custom partitioning anyway right? Cant you reuse the efi? Just need to make sure it is big enough
