RThat’s right. Because of that, they become the de facto default, and Steam doesn’t honor the choice I make within the GUI

RYeah, that script you pointed to is definitely the ‘culprit’, in this instance. Don’t get me wrong, the Bazzite one is nice and all, but not being able to change to another one any more is an issue.

AJust booted my device, as far as I can tell, overriding the suspend animation is not supported by steam.

RAnother weird observation in all of this is what happens if I replace the oled_startup.webm file from the steamui-folder to the deck_startup.webm one within uioverrides. Then the “correct” Steam startup plays, naturally, but it plays at 2x size for some reason. Making it appear pixelated and ‘blown up’
AI can also confirm that I can't seem to get the default boot animation
