RIt shouldn't break anything.
rpm-ostree install and rpm-ostree updateit will halt the shutdown until it completes (if it behaves the same way that update does, at least in gamemode)

HLi'm fairly new to immutable distros, so having that work with rpm ostree, flatpak, and brew etc... a little confusing on what gets rolled back and doesn't get rolled back when xyz breaks
RIf you figured out RAID, I hope you'd know better than to force power off
