If it will resolve what is going on with steam, probably, It's not my main device so I'm not worried about data or something being wiped.
Of course maybe for other solutions is to participate in beta and apply the update or wait for steam to get a stable update out?

I guess what I mean also is all things being equal, if I were to play the game through epic/heroic vs owning the game in steam, are there any performance differences? In other words, does playing games through epic/heroic have all of the Steam/proton benefits equal that of playing a native Steam game?
