Bimho software is the single most important part of a FFB/CLS system, that's why im skeptical about WW and Moza's offerings for the forseable future
DWinwing does not have good software, at least to date. Quality issues might also be a problem given the low cost and apparent high power of the unit.
Byep i have two of their throttles, identical models (with different grips). and there are substantial quality difference between them. Their software is Meh, i only use it for calibration. Their customer support is sssllllloooowww and actually had me open up one of the grips and rip a SMD device, a diode, off the pcb to solve a problem.
一well FWIW they do have some experience in making level 5 FTD and they did also claim that the experience has been applied to it ("FAA FAR-PART60 LEVEL 5 Joystick Control Loading (Force) Modeling"). At least they have some advantage on that part if they truthfully honor their words. But yeah it's WW and the price is quite unusually low so we'll have to see..
Also they almost certianly won't support grips from other brands which could be a problem.

HWell, you have to dial in some basics in the Rhino config software. And then I would recommend using TelemFFB as well. The native FFB support in MSFS is…… sparse…..

B一yeah that minimum requirement is not fancy I know..I was just saying they have gained some, hopefully better know-how over some of the competitors, from building their C172 and DA40 FTD for Civil Aviation Flight University of China..like knowing what data is needed, how to get and process them, what needs to be simulated(for example, breakout force), and some other details needed to be taking care of(not for software but for example, how high the control needs to be mounted/mounting solution ). I mean, the simulation side of experience should be better than that of their other software..but who knows, it's aft all ww
BDo want to point out that being skeptical doenst mean i hope they dont succeed. If they pull of even a MVP as having more hardware on the market will make it worth developers time to add support in current and future titles
BMSFS doesnt have native support. you will need telemffb for anything other that 'static' force settings

HI would assume that is a DCS problem specific to Apache, because in other multicrew aircraft I flew lately, I didn’t have the slightest issues switching seats (namely C-101 and Mi-8).
CCorrected my issue.
Turns out my dumb ass reversed an axis in dcs and not in the VPF software, creating an equal but opposite pitch reaction in the stick FFB/DCS.
It is now corrected and seems to be working as intended.

WQuestion someone had in Reddit about how the Rhino works in Flight Simulator 2020.

VMaybe a dumb question, but it there a way to make the Rhino recognize which DCS module is running and switch to a specific profile, like SRS does?

VThanks! After I posted, I dug into the TelemFFB part of the manual and found it. Havn't installed TelemFFB yet, that will be todays project.
VNew question: can the Force Trim function be used to apply stick trim in pitch only to the DCS P-51 (or other warbird), in order to get stick following trim effect? My idea is to apply it only to pitch and not use the regular DCS pitch trim. Guess I'll have to give it a try - IRL I fly Pawnees and gliders where the stick position is a strong indicator of trim setting in pitch, and the lack of stick movement with trim in the P-51 is really annoying.
NFor DCS, I think you should be able to use the "override trim" function in configurator. It sort of acts like a sticky for the hardware trim hat bindings that are configrued. Just be aware that by moving the physical axis, all of that movement will be translated into virtual movement of the axis as well (probably making the "trim" way too sensitive).
AIt’s been a minute since I flew the p-51, but pretty sure the stick followed the trim :thonk:
HI can‘t tell from the top of my head, but I would be very surprised if it didn’t. Only fly-by-wire jets don’t physically move the stick with trim as far as I‘m aware of.
NAFAIK, yes, the stick does move with trim in the 51, but in this case I interpreted "lack" to mean amount rather than absence 
VI need to get TelemFFB up and running and try trim again. Probably my newbness showing.
