CWhat else did you change in DCS or Vpconfig? This is not the normal usage. I just trim like normally and my stick follows
TI have, but have never tried the standard Rhino to compare to. The regular 60/15 gear ratio of the monster makes it about 1.7x more torque than the standard Rhino but I recently upgraded to 72/15 which is just a hair over 2x the torque of the standard Rhino.
TThe Winger kits are in fact kits though, so you do have to assemble yourself. Plus buy the 86 series motors from Walmis.
TMake sure if you are inverting your pitch axis that it is inverted in the VPForce configurator. And not inverted in DCS.

CI tried the F4, there everything works out of the box. But for the viggen the stick moves the wrong way when trimming
N1.) Make sure your axes move correctly in configurator. If one or both are backwards, invert them in configurator, not the sim.
2.) if the trim is backwards for an aircraft, invert the axis in the FF Tune for that axis. Pretty sure the F5 x axis needs this treatment, there are probably others I don’t know about.

CWhat are we talking abouth ere ? FF tune? Is that Telem FFB?
CIm reading something about inverting FFB axis in DCS. But I can not find any options for that in the game
NThat’s cause DCS retarded. You have to uncheck the “foldable view” in the controls binding, then you will see the FF Tune button

DAre you sure this is the case. Maybe Im not describing in correctly. Sorry for the warped view from VR. The control indicator has more travel on the bottom than the top. I seem to have sorted it out with some axis rescaling. Is there a way to have it just set the neutral position like the F5 does? without having to tweak the axis scaling for different aircraft?

Did you verify if it is the actual in-game trim that is running away? Should be able to see the trim position moving un-commanded if that is the issue

AYes, last time it was full nose down trim and that trim indicator was all the way at the top

NHmm. Yeah, there’s nothing in TelemFFB that sets the trim. Even if you were using the hardware trim in the spring override feature, that doesn’t change the trim value…only the spring center.
I don’t even think it’s possible to externally set the trim in DCS.

AWonder if something in my DCS install is corrupted then because I even deleted the keyboard trim bindings just to be sure there was nothing else that could input

KI turned my Rhino, so the connectors are on the backside.
Also you can buy angled usb & power cable/adapters. This helps, too.

Vso after adding force comp. my stick starts to oscillate on the x axis what can i do to go around that? i only get it when i put force comp im pretty new sorry the questions

HWould anyone happen to know how I've screwed over my config so bad it makes the joystick disconnect when I load into modules in DCS?
I was wondering if it was because I disabled hot swap in DCS, but apparently thats not it either. I have no other USB issues as far as I can tell.

HI have a powered usb hub connected to the pc, but haven’t plugged the rhino into it. Tested it out as well yesterday with the same disconnect.
WDoes this disconnect happen only when using telemFFB ?
HI suspect so, yes. I’ll have a try with only using the config later on. But I suspect it’s only with telemFFB active.
WOne thing that could cause a reconnect normally is if the config profile changes either the "device ident" or the "device ID"
HI’m assuming that would produce a different usb product ID in the vpforce ffb configurator. Vaguely certain it stays the same, but also going to look into that. Any other way to tell if the configs force a new id?
NThis shouldn't be possible.. TelemFFB reads the config file first to check that the PID matches the device its getting ready to send it to.

SHello everyone, I have just finished the mechanical construction of my diy collective and am trying to get the electronics up and running. I am experiencing the following problem. In the FFB Configurator I do not get a display of the motor position (see screenshot). I have connected the ID:0 (y) pitch motor to MOT 2. I have checked the power supply to the motor and it is OK. What have I overlooked? Any help is welcome.

H@walmis @Number481 I just found something interesting. Some of the profiles I load changes the USB Device Ident from "joystick" to "Rhino" (for my helo build). When the ident changes away, the stick disconnects ...

NOK. This is what walmis was saying. The Ident and PID must be identical across all the profiles for the same device, otherwise you will see exactly what you are seeing.

HIdiot-proof it, you say? 
TIt’s not showing any input power to the controller board. Is your power supply connected and switched on?
NDo you also have a Rhino FFB Joystick connected? If so, (and even if not), you'll want to change the USB Product ID to something other than 2055, and change the name to "Collective", or something other than Joystick.
If you also have a joystick plugged in and they are both 2055, it won't work very well.

SThank you very much for your support. I just reinstalled the configurator and started just from the beginning and now it works - I am so happy. And I will change Device Ident and product ID acording your recomendation not to run into conflicts with my cyclic base.

RAny recommendations for new power supplies? The one that came with the unit is no longer working.
TJust to confirm - it looks like Auto Calibrate followed by Store Settings (and then exporting my config) only saves the calibration info to that config? Importing or loading other configs seems to restore my old calibration from before I put in limiters. Instead of redoing the Auto Calibrate for each of my 4 base configs, can I just copy/paste the related lines from the .vpconf file? It looks like it's just "x_angle_max", "x_angle_min", "y_angle_max", "y_angle_min"? Or is there a simpler method I'm missing?
TJust tried the cut and paste and that seems to work fine.
