There will be very little people if any that have both devices. Personally I built a DIY-Rhino from a Kit and rebuilt it a couple of times for individual mods.
From some Videos online that showed insides of the Moza, I can only come to the conclusion that it is inferior. 1. It has no active cooling and there seem to be no thermal coupling to the metal case. 2. One of the motors isn’t attched to the case but to the gimbal. (Which is a shortcut). So you nove the whole motor around which adds inertia to one of the two axis but not the other…..
3. The software and support will definitely be inferior to what is offered here.

I can’t tell if that is the reasonable thing to do for you. It is pricey and DIY isn’t for everyone. I certainly enjoyed the process and am enjoying the final product. And my judgment of the Moza is strictly subjective opinion based on assumptions.

yeah I'd very much like to know how the moza handles heat from prolonged stress, but without testing it's impossible to really say, it might be totally fine indefinitely

That would eat away some of its capacity. Regarding the heat, when the Moza produces the same amount of torque (which it does by the specs) it will produce roughly the same amount of waste heat, no way around that. Given that it not even has ventilation slots…..

The problem with the Moza is that (so far) all „tests“ seem to be sponsored. At least I haven’t seen an independent (and competent) test yet.

I have an issue with the VPForce in MSFS. It feels like the FFB is inverted? You need alot of power to overcome the centre but not alot of force as you put more input in so I end up having hyper unstable planes that only like full ffb inputs.

I too am interested in FFB collective…….using a VPF motor on a custom built collective to use with the X-Trident’s A109SP …..why?…..because in a 4-axis AFCS the collective with trim feel engaged will actually respond power changes. If you press the trim feel trigger underneath the collective it will disengage the trim feel and allow manual control…….i feel that the VPF motor would be perfect to make such a realistic collective. But not sure if it can…..??

What is exactly the additional length of built-in extenstion compared to vkb or virpil base? From the dimensions it looks like it is 160mm from the axis of rotation, and in my vkb it looks like i am only 40mm from the axis rotation (my guess, it might be more), hence I was assuming that you have defacto a 120mm extension built in. Has someone measure this more accuretely?

Not without collaboration from ~~(and likely significant work by)~~ the developer. Edit Well, after looking at some info about the heli, it seems there is at least some provisions built in to allow for springless joysticks and/or FFB implementations. But its unknown how or if this extends to the collective axis. Also I don't own the aircraft nor have access to the manual to even try to get a sense of what it would take

My VKB has no more than 45-50mm to the connector. I would guess Virpil is about the same.

In my personal opinion the Rhino works best as a center/floor mount stick with extension. As a side stick e.g. it is not well suited.

Well guys, I’ve not flown in the ikarus for over 9 months, I added the force feedback stick to my simulator to help with my training.
Today I took off unassisted, first landing was a bit crap, but the next 7 touch and goes were as my instructor said, bloody perfect.
So if anyone says Spending all that money on it is a waste, tell them they don’t know what they are talking about.
Looking to be going solo in the middle of December weather permitting.

, I think it's getting better but I still wouldn't rely on my home pit, even with rhino and vr, but I do think it can help more to keep the mindset running than say chair flying or just staring at flight instrument posters if you are weeks maybe even months between actual flights.

Just in case anyone wants to do something similar. I was able to modify one of my hotas mounts in my Next Level Racing Military Edition Chair. Pretty easy just need to make a couple of new holes and you can use the rhino as a collective! Works great with the H145. Autopilot moves the collective. Let me know if you want more info on how to modify the mount
