i wanted to use the Radial Scatter Tool but somehow i can't get it to work. Just checked Dash YT Channel and found a Shorts video but there is a "set Origin" which is missing in Dash 1.8? Am i missing something?

Glad to hear that you like it! In the upcoming update, we've improved it quite a bit to include "action" suggestion, so that when it recommends a tool, some panel or menu, the AI assistant will give it to you right inside its panel. Documentation links are also much more accurate, plus it also has memory, which means you can carry the conversation for longer than the current one, which is limited to one message.

Ye it was a while since we covered Radial Scatter in a video, but it is in the plans

The Origin Meshes option you are looking for, is in the Position group if you scroll down a bit in the tool

Hey! Can you try to reproduce this problem and record your screen?
Make sure to double-check that you save as well, for me it worked, so not sure what happened to you, if it was a one-time weird bug or not

We think we have solved the dual screen issue now, could you please grab this version, try having UE on both Main and Secondary screen, and letting us know if you are still experiencing issues?
Getting some help testing this would be really appreciated! And we can of course extend your trial if you are still on that, to make sure you get a proper 30 days to test it when it works as it should later!

P.S. please make sure the UI Scale Profile in the Dash Preferences, is at 100% as this is needed right now if using UE on another screen than your main screen.

I would guess you are missing the step about converting them to static meshes

You can search for "static" in Dash to find the converter

Hi! Which part of the ground are you curious about? The concrete slabs?
I would just do 2-4 variants in Blender/whatever DCC you use, then place a few manually and duplicate them further in groups.

We have the tool Grid Scatter, but it's not quite helpful to do this type of pattern right now. This is something we want to improve fairly soon, fwiw. Ideally, you'd have the ability to offset n rows or collumns, which is perfect for this use case.

The price for the updates has not been decided yet actually, but it is gonna be lower than the perpetual license cost ofc, and it will be in line with how others in our industry price theirs!

We actually created this based on how others have done it, but maybe you checked other companies than we did, please share yours if you want

If you want to use Alipay, we have a separate button/link on our pricing page, if you don't need to use Alipay, you can just use the "Select Plan" button on one of our different license options

I was thinking of dash have a sort of material layering system using the newer stuff from ue which can automatically be added to existing asset materials, so we can have more consistent material effects across props on the scene. Though not sure if its possible or valid. Hehe thanks

Right now you would have to treat it as any other custom assets, i.e, add them to your UE project and then in the Dash Content Browser, go to the Current Project tab and compute the folders there. It will give you access to CTRL drag and drop, but you won't have Material Edit or Blend Material abilities, unfortunately. No way of getting that right now
