Oanyone else have problems with the rhino appearing as a game controller in windows? connects fine to web tool and configurator.
OI have also had some funky USB behavior

H@walmis I had a problem with the Firmware/VP config yesterday. After DCS crashed, the spring was stuck in "controlled by application". No matter what I did, including restarting config or TelemFFB, rebooting the system - even power cycling the Rhino. Only thing that eventually helped was to re-import a profile. Probably was a very unlikely one-off. Just so you know, in case it happens again....
WProbably a stuck effect. Power cycling (the red button) will not clear it. To reset You can either type "reset" into the command prompt in the configurator, unplug-replug USB, or issue reset all ffb effects in telemFFB menu.
WAlthough restarting DCS should clear it too

TIs the new TelemFFB 20241103 now considered to be non-beta? A little confused since the firmware it requires (1.0.17b3) seems to still be in beta, and same for Configurator, which is at 1.0.17b2. Wondering if there will be an announcement when all 3 are at matching release versions? Or when we have release candidates?
(After about three months of using my rhino with a thrustmaster warthog grip the buttons stopped working mid flight , I was trimming f18 and it just went more and more nose down trim.
In the rhino config app it showed button 14 permanently on which I think was nose down trim.
when I unplugged the grip and replugged back in no buttons show up on app.
Debug shows all FFFFFFFF which I think is gripping not detected,
I had swapped my 3d printed grip adaptor for a metal one about a week before so I removed it and saw that the green wire (clock) was cut but still continuity to the Wallis board.
But to rule this out I rewired the din plug and check continuity against the attatched drawing .
Still no buttons
I replaced grip with a new thrustmaster f-18 grip but still no joy
Have I brick the walmis board and can someone confirm that the drawing attatched is the correct wiring.

Shey mates. I can see that i have friction enable from telemffb but i do not see springs on telemffb. i am blind? cause VPforce software says Springs controlled by application

WDid you do the diode test? It's a bit different as it shows whether the signal reaches the grip electronics. That will confirm whether there's no issues in the connector itself.

TThe built in loopback app should be able to handle this, up to two axes at least since the latest update allows you to map to pot1/pot2.
SStarted using the Rhino two days ago. I have had several instances of both motors suddenly going offline. Today I had pitch axis motor going offline during DCS dogfight. Configurator showed unstable condition on pitch axis motor. I'm guessing this is going to happen again. Any suggestions as to how to identify the problem?

VI am getting this resting oscillation/shaking also with the new firmware, mine seems related to friction.
TThose look like the rhino defaults so it should be pretty stable. Do you have it plugged into a USB hub or directly to your PC?
TI also played with the vel and acc estimator gains. Increasing them slowly helped further stabilize.
HYour spring gain is too high. You must make sure, that the maximum amps at max deflection stay below your limit. Otherwise you can easily overpower the motor and tilt it.
W@Sudeebare One could lower the Damper force low pass filter, to 15-20Hz if instability develops.

(Thanks and yes finding the din plug id proving to be difficult I have a f18 grip I can use until I fix the warthog one, once I rewire the complete grip loom not splice as I have been trying to do as I didn’t have the correct jst crimp stuff
TI’ve never used the 57 series, but the settings they have shown is the default Rhino profile and it is a production Rhino. I would think the default profile would be built so as not to over current the motors. The motor current limit is also set correctly for 30A max. Shouldn’t that limit it as needed by lowering output?
CBefore I place my order, how many inputs does the VPForce shift register board have? I can count 32 but that’s assuming they’re all inputs and they share a common ground? And then is it’s 5 pins to the board and bobs your uncle?
CAlso looking at the image it looks like hc165 shifts, so my own grip uses those, is there logic on the VPForce control board yo handle inputs from any hc165s? Or is the VPForce board proprietary in any way
HThe powers involved are determined by various factors. First and foremost by the length of the lever (that you choose). A grown man will always be ultimatively stronger than the motors.
HThat's why you need to adjust the settings properly.
WYeah it's HC165s, it's compatible with TM, so has the inverter on the LATCH/CS signal, so it's active LOW
HIt's even more important for the pedals, since legs are much stronger and have less fine control/feeling. When you kick/push/pull too fast, the overcurrent protection will disable the motor(s) entirely. When you pull slowly, you will just reach a plateau where the max force of the motor will stay constant, which feels strange.
CSo could I build my own stick on my own hc165s and it would work?
