Nworked generally fine during the tech alpha last month. AFAIK, it is working generally fine for those rhino owners who may be on development teams and have been participating in the dev alpha. Neither of those are "complete builds" though, so its anyones guess what we'll see on release day.
SJust watch out for the possible “whack f*k!” moments during cutscenes/career menu

BQuick question on USB hubs. Im intending using 2 hubs (not daisychained). For everything but the Rhino and my Crosswinds I have a TP link hub that has already served me well. So , For the Rhino and pedals am I better with a USB 3 hub? Does it need to be powered and if, ultimately Im plugging in the crosswinds, the FFB crosswind kit and the Rhino, do I need some overhead in terms of unused ports or will a 4 port hub be fine? Thanks. Noob at all this.
HNo, you don't need more than USB 2.0 for peripherals, and you don't need a powered hub either.
WFrom experience USB3 is usually somewhat better, I've encountered less problems with them. Cheap USB2 hubs often use knockoff chinese chips and are somewhat quirky. YMMV
HQuality is a different concern. It is true (unfortunately) that some hubs work and others don't. I was just talking in principle. It is good advise to go with somewhat reliable brands and don't buy the cheapest one you can get.
HI'm using both, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 hubs. None is connected to its powersupply though.

HI'm using it without the Power-Brick for two Rhino devices and two other input devices.
HThe USB 2.0 Hub runs my TrackIR cam, Keyboard and mouse.
HAlso without Power.

VWanted to try the new beta software, but I cant update my firmware, "no compatible devices found". The stick works fine, and connects to vpforce configurator, its running firmware 1.0.16. Tried various browsers, tried USB2 and 3 ports on my motherboard and a USB3 PCIe card. Not sure what else I can do?

VIts also not detecting stick movements or button presses in the browser UI. If I launch vpforce configurator, that all works with no problems

VOne more question. Max PSU current is for some reason set to 4A. I have the "stock" PSU that came with my rhino, it says 19.5A @19V. Can I just set that PSU current to 19.5A or am I misunderstanding something?
HYou could drive more than one device of certain PSUs, then you need to limit the per device draw. In your case, you can safely put that to 10 Amps. That is more than you will ever need probably.
HI wouldn’t go to the advertised amps though. leave some wiggle room for safety.
Vsounds like a plan. Honestly, even 4A is enough, but I was just curious how far I can drive it.
H4A may(!) become a bottleneck if you pull diagonally and both motors draw maximum power at the same time, Kind of an edge case, but the only scenario I can think of.
HI‘m driving three motors from a 15A PSU and set the Rhino Stick (2 Motors) to 10A and the pedals (1 Motor) to 6A. Pretty unlikely that all three will pull max A at the same time.
H@walmis regarding the current beta of the VP configurator. Don’t know if bug or feature. When you enable the hardware trim and offset the center, it stays offset when you disable the hardware trim again. And another thing I encounter. When opening the VP config, it doesn’t always read and display the current config from the stick without forcing it. With the last release version, that worked reliably as far as I can tell.
PAfter applying all of the recent updates I don’t have any spring forces. Can anyone offer some advice on how to fix this?

VIm having some issues with oscillations when using software endstops. I think this issue is new in 1.0.17b, but Im not positive. If I move the stick towards the software endstop (with no other forces being active, or master gain to zero) it can induce oscillations, with or without holding the stick. I tried a few things, like low pass and notch filters, but nothing seems to cure it.

DWhat size JST connector is it?
SI lost trim in the A1 0 in DCS. I have the trim button properly mapped. I can see the trim button move forward in the cockpit, but my physical stick does not move in the cockpit and trim is no longer working in the A-10. Any ideas what I messed up? It was working, but I tried downloading a different profile. I have since restored my original profile, but trim has not returned. I have confirmed that “sticky” is not selected in any of my spring damper, inertia or friction effects. I also have no trim effects in the F 14 if I go into special options for the F-14 in DCS and uncheck trim, then I can make the trim cockpit indicator move with the trim hat, but with force feedback trim enabled trim does not function in the F-14 either. (For anyone who runs across this issue the solution was to go into the effects tab and check hardware for trim and relaunch DCS and trim effects returned I have since gone back to the effect tab and disabled hardware trim and it is still working in DCS so this may be a possible bug after loading a different profile)
