I would love to be able to doc the interface. Also there's a weird UI drag behavior that I keep coming up against. I tend to hold down the left mouse button when I go through menus. And Unreal allows for that. But the Dash UI gets pulled with the mouse when I do that - while ALSO opening the menu - which is really strange UI/UX behavior.

I've tried your workarounds: even with global density mode and scatter density = 10 scatter is very rarified.
All works just if I create landscape with dash tool (the size is quite small indeed)

Aha. Actually, we shipped the fix in the 1.8.5 beta yesterday! So you can try it out straight away!

Here you can see me using a fairly big Landscape and if I set the rocks to nanite and increase the density to 10 and increase Max Count to 2M, I get fairly good density. (This PC is not great so pardon the bad performance in this clip)

Thanks for the video, much easier to understand what you meant now! I actually think the idea was that Dash should only be movable when holding the Dash icon on the left. So adding this to the bug list!

Regarding the docking, we do have Left, Right and Center "docking" if you check the main Dash menu. But this does not dock it in your suggested places no, so noting down that we got 2 more requests for more docking options

Regarding the issues:

When you say not spawning meshes at all, could you record a video of this?
Regarding falling through, it might be related to the scaling, we got another similar report about this here: Landscape Physics falling through
Other possible thing that could affect physics is if you have some UE Volume, pcg, world partition volume etc etc. THiese and other things being at the location could affect physics. To solve, just hide volume in question while doing physics and then un-hide.
Other thing that could affect is if you have the surface/object set to Complex or Simple Collision, quick video about this here: dash-general

Thanks, it for sure looks like you are inside of something (these red lines in the sky when in the paint mode), I would guess that is the problem here

Dash does not touch world partition at all, so if you have that on, it's not due to Dash

Hey hey! @Scindo

After the 12 months, you will be able to keep using whatever Dash version was the latest one at date X (12 months after purchase). Let's say this maybe is Dash 2.2 with UE 6.1 support. Then you will be able to use Dash 2.2 forever. But if UE updates to 6.2, Dash 2.2 won't work there, as we would have to ship Dash 2.3, to support UE 6.2.

But yes, after the 12 months, you will be able to buy an upgrade/12 month package, price undecided right now, but it will be inline with how others in our industry structures theirs

Agreed! Right now the docs does not cover every single tool in great detail but ye when it does, we should have that link. For now you cant try asking the AI assistant about a specific tool and then it should give you some info and also link you to the most relevant documentation pages about your questions.

Yep! We have each of the tools in the docs, but these tool pages just include the info from within the tooltips (when you hover over a setting in a tool). For example, here is the page for the cable tool which does not give much useful info. https://docs.polygonflow.io/dash-tools/cabletool

But we are expanding on proper pages in the docs continuously, for example, we recently added a first iteration on a page for our Blend Material, https://docs.polygonflow.io/how-it-works/material-authoring, or this one covers most of the settings in Surface Scatter, https://docs.polygonflow.io/how-it-works/scatter-masking-features

I absolutely love the phsycs painting system. One of my favorite things about Dash. It's super fun. But one thing I keep coming up against is that it isn't designed with very large objects in mind. If I want to paint just a few large objects (boulders, large broken pieces of a spacecraft in a small area, a count of 1 is still too many.

Yee the problem here seems to be that to paint, you can't click, you have to hold left mouse and drag, making it hard to paint only 1 object

But in the case that you only need a few objects, I think the Physics Drop and Duplicate button might be better suited actually

It enables physics on the object and you can drag it around and let it drop down with physics instead

Honestly, I would say it is little too complex for the Road tool right now, no proper structure for intersections, but we have plans to dive into these things soon

You can use the road tool and path Scatter to create one or more roads with poles on the side, but hard to merge them like this

I'm using the "draw vines" tool. Here 2 question:
1)I drag atlases on the scene. I add them with the "+" button to leaf meshes in the vines tool. Now some weird leaves appear (if I drag atlases on the mesh pressing ctrl with "create vines on selection" they appear ok). I'm on 1.8.5. Still have to downgrade to understand if it is related to beta version.
2) In path trace render I can see only the leaves (after enable nanite on them) but not the branches. What I need to do with them?

EDIT1: 1) yes, it is related to 1.8.5. I'll add this topic in beta section.
