Ahh, I recall you had installed Zadig libusb drivers. You need to go to device manager find the Rhino devices and uninstall the drivers, then do a scan for hardware changes
I will ask again... the effects shake through the center of the stick axises has a more brittle vibrating now, sharpish/tingling like something is loose in the stick (on afterburner effect in DCS Viper and ETL in DCS Kiowa)... it was not like this when it arrived... What do I check inside it? Are there any parts that need retighteninmg? Are there any pics or videos for checking loose stuff inside? Thx!
Hey folks, I'd like to buy a right angle barrel connector for the power. Anyone able to tell me the "specs" of the default one so I can extend it? This looks about right... https://amzn.eu/d/gzqQB5B but it's hard to check 5.5mm width that accurately with a tape measure

my only suggestion would be to unfasten the boot ring and lift up the boot to expose the gimbal assembly. Check all the screws you can see and snug up any that are not tight. Also a good idea to snug up the 5 hex screws that attach the pulleys from the outside.
I'm getting about 3 bounces at the endstops on my pedals when I set software endpoints. After the bounce the stop is quite solid and hard to push through. Adjusting damping and stop power doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there something else I should try ?
Hello, just got my Rhino today and is there a way to center the stick? It to far forward, I've been looking the software but haven't found anything yet.
Yes I tried that but didn't really see any difference, maybe I did something wrong. This really only couple hours new for me. Wife is call me so be back later and give it another try.
Is this after takeoff/airborne? That‘s correct then. The F-4 (like many other jets) needs loads of forward trim for level cruise flight. Other than with a peasant spring loaded joystick, with a FFB stick you actually have the stick moving correctly with trim.
Hi, I have been offline for a longer time and I don't find my own messages on discord. Is there any sim/plane/update that has autopilot following with the Rhino moving accordingly? I did not find a single plane yet that has that ability.
Also, question #2: Does any of you use the metal grip mount update? What are your experiences with it? I use the plaste one, had some cracking with strong forces and put some tape on the metal bar. This silenced the cracking for months. Now it seems to return. Will the metal mount solve this issues forever? Foreverever?
I had the same issue and went to the Alu Connector from Vpforce. No problems with cracking anymore. For me a wobbling stick was also an issue, maybe because of a not good calibrated printer but with the alu connector also this problem was solved and everything is tight. Changing grips without fear for the threads is a big plus also
Yes, then better get used to it…(there are only „poor“ workarounds if you are extremely uncomfortable with it. Like messing with your calibration or axis scaling. I would advice against all this and simply accept that this is actually correct behaviour. Maybe bring the base closer to your chair (if possible) when you can’t get used to it.
I'm getting weird button detection from my vkb mcgu all of a sudden, when I press a button it just flashes instead of staying constant. Its fine in loopback but in the configurator its weird. This reflects in trim releases as well because I can feel it jumping around
Hi everyone, is there any where in the software we can see how much force we are pulling? Aka when I pull up on the collective I would to know how many NM I pulling to move it.
I'm having some trouble with the physical to logical button mappings. I started using my Rhino with a Virpil stick so mapped everything in DCS with a 1:1 physical:logical.
A couple of weeks ago, i changed to a Tianhang stick, and rather than remap everything in DCS, I changed the physical:logical mappings in the VPForce software so all my DCS mappings stayed the same. This worked fine until today.
Today I tried loading someone eleses vpconf file, and their stick setting was for Virpil Alpha (not generic). Although I changed the setting back to generic, and loaded my button map from a backup, for some reason, the logical buttons aren't being sent to DCS, only the physical ones
For example when I press te second trigger detent (physical button 2) instead of logical button 1 being sent to DCS, physical button 2 is being sent instead
Likewise physical button 1 should map to logical button 5 but instead when i press physical button 1 thats what DCS receives (ot logical 1). I've tried resetting the map and configuring it again but without any luck.
I have it partially disassembled right now without going too deep, so if the stuff I tightened down fixes it I’ll let you know, otherwise we may have to go deeper haha.
This little biatches got loose... front and rear one almost fell out totally... and that caused the sharp vibrations when passing through pitch axis center... THX!!!
