WI don't know if Rise of Flight works with FFB, I doubt it does, but that's the only alternative

RGot DCS covered, was feeling that I wanted to use the Rhino with an old biplane and see how they feel in FFB. One of the first videos I saw of a Rhino review the guy was using it with a WWI plane sim and the stick was limp until the airwash straightened out the ailerons. VERY COOL. Hoping there are others that have WWI planes and are using them with the Rhino.
RAwesome. Was getting the Rhino to work with it hard or as seamless as with DCS? Its on sale right now in Steam.
WI’ve only flown DCS FFB, but I can’t imagine it’d be difficult to set up
WFlying Circus is no different than IL-2 GB, plenty of folks use the rhino there. I suspect you won’t have much if a problem.

HHi all, new to the VPForce Rhino, im about to get one my mate does not use any more, it was a pre built unit and he has had it 1 year with little use, im only getting the base unit and power supply.
Out of the box what Joysticks does VPForce support, Thrustmaster and Virpil of just Thrustmaster. ??
Also I have started reading the Discord sections and there seems to be a lot of tweaking and setup (maybe reading wrong here) I'm wanting to fly the Apache and KA50 II in DCS is it easy to get this working with the software and DCS or do I have to start reading all the sections on setting it up.
If you experienced guys were settings some one new up with minimal fuss what steps would you take when it was all hooked up ready to switch on.

CI'm trying to get the hang of air refueling in the F18/F14/F4 in DCS. Anybody got any Rhino or DCS settings that particularly help with smooth controls around center? I've got a Rhino, VKB MCG and 200mm extension
RHi all, on the list for a Rhino. I am looking at grips and leaning towards a Virpil Warbrd (nice and simple), will I also need to purchase the Virpil controller too?
BVirpil and thrustmaster grips runs directly, no adapter or anything like that needed.

IIRC it works really well out of the box but DCS is lacking some effects which telemffb adds, and that takes a little bit of tweaking
BI havent really tweaked much, just a basic calibration and range of motion check.
Simply put, scaling down axis range so I get full range output without having to remove body parts.
Pretty much only use dcs though so using the FFB settings there, telemffb just add some extras.

OI've only tried in the Hornet. Small dead zone of one or two and add some curve. Fingertip pressure.
RThe 64 at least is very easy setup. With Telem program open and DCS too (sitting in the cockpit) you have sliders and options available to tweak what kind of feedback and how much you're getting. I recommend turning the ETL shake down, it's too violent by default.

RFor all modules make sure you calibrate the VP in the configuration program. Something like hitting the calibration button on the bottom, going through the sticks full range of motion, then clicking the button again
RVirpil and apparently thrustmaster grips run directly with the Rhino no issue. VKB iirc need an adapter

LFor aerial refuelling a precise throttle is perhaps more important than the stick. I couldn't do it with any confidence until I changed to a better throttle.

Going from TM 16k to VKB Gladiator was a day and night difference as well.
However, that was mostly due to the center spring being a pita in the center, where you do most of the movements for AAR.

Gis there a step by step guide to connecting/configuring a VKB F-14 (IV) grip with the Rhino? I've got it setup (I think) in Configurator and Loopback correctly (though there was no instruction on how to setup the Pot 1/2 Source in Loopback that I found - I assume those are set to the Rhino - are both to be turned on? Slider to the right?)

The joystick itself is working great in DCS, but the buttons on the grip aren't recognized (DCS sees it as a Space Gunfighter as well - don't know if that's an issue).

CYeah this was a surprise tip for me from my friends too! Once I set a slight deadzone on my Rhino and adjusted my throttle detent and throttle friction I finally got it.
