DI haven't tried it in game yet, but you've got the usual trigger (1 click at first glance) and a 2nd trigger right next to it (2 clicks). You've also got the parking brake trigger, which activates a button on maximum pressure. And the other usual buttons. I'll do a test and tell you again

FA two stage main trigger would have made it perfect but apparently it is just a autopilot trigger in the Flanker for some reason. Lol
BThe dual stage on the cm2 is kind of dumb.
Its button 1, then button 2 and as you progress to button 2 it stops sending button 1

Dyes, you're both quite right. But I think it makes more sense for fighter jets than my Alpha. After that, it's more of the same, with a few minor variations. On the other hand, it looks much more real (imposing) than the Alpha! The options are useful and allow a variety of settings

DYeah for the delay! But the cover and the stand are included with the grip (I don't know if it was already known in September but I don't remember)
RLove to have a left hand version even tho it’s not historically accurate

Hnot clear if the thumb button (14) is a 4 way hat or it is just a button..
FYou can change some of the buttons/hats. Comes with button out of the box iirc

LFor a diy grip, is it as simple as grip buttons > 5 pin shift register > 5 pins din on the mainboard?
TShift registers need to be CD4021 type or SN74HC165 type with an inverter on the CS signal. But yes you’ve got the gist of it. Only HC165 needs the inverter. CD4021 works as is. Pull up resistors on inputs for both types, buttons to GND.

TSomething like PN2222 or BC547 would work.
TDepending on how many buttons you need you could also do it with 1-2 arduino nanos, no shift registers.

DYes, everything's fine with my “Alpha profile”. BUT @walmis needs to create a “FLNKR” profile for the correct placement of buttons/switches/hats/brake lever. I haven't tried another type of grip yet (not enough time and too much work), but I imagine the generic profile will be more suitable (?).
In any case, it's easy to use as it is, but Walmis needs to update it. I'm not a dev, but I'd say it should be doable in no time!

TI’m pretty sure he needs to get the stick in house to implement those changes into the software.
I could be wrong but I think that’s what they had to do with one of the previous sticks.
So yeah… You may need to wait for Walmis to actually get a Flanker grip in house

DRI thought that would be the case needing a new grip profile for the FLNKR grip with the different possible combinations with the extra hat switches. I’m sure his will arrive soon. Hopefully mine will also arrive this month.

TNot necessarily, you use the arduino to spoof a shift register output. You can also use it to spoof the Winwing adapter profile if you want to have axis inputs on your DIY grip. 5 wires to the VPF main board, same as with a shift register.
LAh, i see , well was thinking of like a F4 type of grip with maybe 20 buttons total no axis
TYou can get up to 19 buttons out of one nano with no axes using all the available inputs. For 20+ it would probably be easier to go the shift register route. Can’t go wrong either way and the shift register is a great option too. I recommend going with whichever you feel more confident with.
LCool, i have a stm32 blue pill, and some of the pcb hc175, i think i have a box with 55 buttons. But ya for a stick would not need that much, my main thing is how it connects to the vp force mainboard

RMine arrived as well. I tried out the Alpha Prime profile but it doesn´t work. Some Buttons are not recognized and the Axis are swapped so they are not recognized properly. I´m gonna wait for a profile until I use it. I got a mousepad and a cup as a gift for the delay.
