DYes, everything's fine with my “Alpha profile”. BUT @walmis needs to create a “FLNKR” profile for the correct placement of buttons/switches/hats/brake lever. I haven't tried another type of grip yet (not enough time and too much work), but I imagine the generic profile will be more suitable (?).
In any case, it's easy to use as it is, but Walmis needs to update it. I'm not a dev, but I'd say it should be doable in no time!

TI’m pretty sure he needs to get the stick in house to implement those changes into the software.
I could be wrong but I think that’s what they had to do with one of the previous sticks.
So yeah… You may need to wait for Walmis to actually get a Flanker grip in house

RI thought that would be the case needing a new grip profile for the FLNKR grip with the different possible combinations with the extra hat switches. I’m sure his will arrive soon. Hopefully mine will also arrive this month.

TNot necessarily, you use the arduino to spoof a shift register output. You can also use it to spoof the Winwing adapter profile if you want to have axis inputs on your DIY grip. 5 wires to the VPF main board, same as with a shift register.

TYou can get up to 19 buttons out of one nano with no axes using all the available inputs. For 20+ it would probably be easier to go the shift register route. Can’t go wrong either way and the shift register is a great option too. I recommend going with whichever you feel more confident with.
LCool, i have a stm32 blue pill, and some of the pcb hc175, i think i have a box with 55 buttons. But ya for a stick would not need that much, my main thing is how it connects to the vp force mainboard

The 4+1 modules are installed by default, with the button/3-way hats simply limiting movement.

RMine arrived as well. I tried out the Alpha Prime profile but it doesn´t work. Some Buttons are not recognized and the Axis are swapped so they are not recognized properly. I´m gonna wait for a profile until I use it. I got a mousepad and a cup as a gift for the delay.

DI don't know but we must see this after Walmis update (and create) the FLANKR profile
DSame as you. But my Alpha profile is usable (except some buttons or combination of buttons). No issue with the axis
DI try it in DCS and MSFS and all good (except the issues mentioned just above)
RI am positive that once Walmis gets his grip he will crank out the FLNKR profile ASAP. He is probably as excited as we are to use it.
RI´m not in a hurry, my warthog tick is just fine right now. I rather wait ab bit. I have to figure out my new button layout anyway.
RYup. Was using my old TM Cougar grip until the weapon release button stopped working. Luckily I could switched to my Warthog grip until FLNKR time.

HHey guys im new to the Rhino and im having trouble with the DCS Apache and trimming, can some ne explain the setting's to use in DCS and any other settings I need to enable in either the FFB configurator of the TelemFFB, im very new to this sorry
FYou need to turn on force feedback in the settings in DCS and use the trimming of DCS. Not the hardware trim of the Rhino software.
FOh, and use the instant trim (ffb friendly) in the special settings of the Apache

AHi, I'm new, here. I'm building a heli simulator and already own cyclic and collective from 737diysim.com and VKBsim pedals. The diysim controls have force trim with stepper motors but they suck (not enough force, get hot) and the pedals have no FB at all. I plan to upgrade them with the DIY kits. I've already found the software manual (https://vpforcecontrols.com/downloads/VPforce_Rhino_Manual.pdf). Is there any info avaliable for the hardware of the DIY kits?

BWait, all Rhinos built by Walmis have the 1.6 Nm motor / NEMA23 motor?
BOh damn, I thought that was the strongest motor possible (maybe it was at the time I bought mine). What does one have to do to upgrade to the strongest motor? The NEMA34 (4.2 Nm)

BAh shame. I'm super happy with mine but more power seems better. Especially because I want to fit a real stick grip on mine which probably weighs a ton.
