It's probably more helpful to take a step back and see what drives these services:

Both Pages Assets and Workers Static Assets use Cloudflare KV (so similar performance) and have the same limit of 25 MB per asset / 20k of them.

Pages has static assets which cost you nothing when they are served, and was first to have built in CI/CD, Integration with GitHub, previews and such. Pages has "Functions" which are versioned Workers with some other magic on top.

Workers now have built in CI/CD as well as preview links, which apply to the other two:
adapter-cloudflare-workers for Svelte looks like it deploys your entire website in a single bundle, so subject to the way lower Worker limits (10 mb for the entire thing after gzip for paid, 3 mb for free).
Workers w/ Assets has the benefit of offloading those static assets/higher limits, and it's going to get all the new features from now on/consolidating everything back to Workers eventually

If you were asking more in the eyes of Svelte then not 100% sure about that, their docs say both adapters support all features tho, so should just be CF-side differences

Unless there's something you need from Pages https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/static-assets/compatibility-matrix//your framework doesn't support Workers Static Assets yet, then yea I'd pick a worker w/ assets, it's what they're pushing, although it still is in beta. They talked about providing ways migrate to Workers from Pages as well, so hopefully something nice and easy if you did stick with Pages

First class support is indeed very nice but i still struggle to have a nice way to just have a DO class somewhere in my framework code and it picking it up. most people have a js file that imports the class and the entrypoint

I got it to work with Svelte by wrapping the worker with another worker then exporting the DO from the wrapper. Seems a little hacky but it works. In the dashboard there is one worker, serving the Svelte app, and one durable object.

Anything in the wrangle file is safe to expose. If you have any env variables that are sensitive then those should be stored using secrets.

I'm facing an issue with NextAuth (v5) on a Cloudflare Pages deployment using the Edge runtime. When authenticating with the Google provider, I am returning a user object from the profile callback with fields like id, email, and dbBinding. However, in my jwt callback, I only receive the email; id and dbBinding come through as null.

What I’ve tried:

Verified the profile callback is returning the correct fields.
Logged the user object in the jwt callback to confirm its contents.
Attempted to propagate custom fields via the JWT and session callbacks.
Questions:

Is this behavior expected in the Edge runtime for custom fields, or might there be a configuration issue?
Are there known limitations or workarounds in NextAuth v5 for preserving custom fields like id and dbBinding when running on the Edge?
Has anyone successfully passed custom fields from the Google provider through to JWT/session callbacks on Cloudflare Pages’ Edge runtime?

hey, I'm encounting an error message: "Failed to load module script: Expected a JavaScript module script but the server responded with a MIME type of "text/html". Strict MIME type checking is enforced for module scripts per HTML spec." the js file existed, and at same path as index.html. The framework I'm using is Angular, where it says most services have this on. I'm not sure which part changed, whether the framework, or the build process, or my code. but is there a way to fix it?

just added a url rewrite rule that makes hosts that
a. try to go to pages they shouldn't (and probably don't exist) like

/.git

and

/wp-admin

/wp-admin

(i dont use wordpress), or
b. have scraper user agents (or no UA)
now get sent to robots.txt so they can read it again :)
... on the off chance bot fight and WAF doesn't stop them
