Just because then it's no longer a framework, really... it's a package that does a lot of things.

i dont like react but id even go so far as tanstack start because i trust tanner. but that isnt even in the docs yet and brand new as well

tanstack is too new for me - i like stability in web frameworks

At some point Cloudflare may officially deprecate it, but it's effectively abandoned today and hasn't received any updates for new Cloudflare bindings and things in about a year, with many tooling versions now being outdated, nearing EOL, and with security issues.

i have multiple production apps using sveltekit using d1,kv, cache, rate limiting etc and i have 0 issues either. workers have been stable for ages. all that changed is assets being stored on a cdn now

sveltekit had bugs as a framework when i tried it two years ago, im not trying it again in atleast 5 years

i don't want to see bugs in the basic things i build with cloudflare (later I settled on next.js which also turned out to be a pain)

workers have no special way of connecting to tailscale, youd have to expose it to the internet somehow
probably smth like https://developers.cloudflare.com/hyperdrive/configuration/connect-to-private-database/

thanks @Erisa - i imagine this should be fairly secure too, given that a tunnel will not allow non-http connections, whereas hyperdrive must have been provided with an exemption

non-http is possible as long as there's an agent on the other side proxying it back again, hyperdrive has that built in to the service

why does something like

in a workers fetch() cause the worker to exceed cpu time limit?

although it could also be memory too, since the file cuts out around the 128mb mark

My "need to" is primarily when a specific (often non-web) application requires me to. For example, the other day I wrote a custom extension for Raycast (https://www.raycast.com/) and they require React.
