Breath of Fire 4 GOG port not working

I recently bought the new BOF 4 port on GOG and when I tried it the game just woudn't boot.

I press the play button, it would go yellow with the text playing for some seconds and than go back in to being Blue again

general notes: don't use Proton Experimental, use GE-Proton-latest, make a game-specific prefix folder, not /home/ain/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/home/ain/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default, enable umu by checking and unchecking the disable umu box
