ANo. It's something we need to from our side. I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed this. Searching the discord I can see people complaining about too much tilt shift but nobody commenting on the fact that it suddenly disappeared entirely. It's be grateful for some input from other artists.
VInteresting! Yeah all pics from Open Brush I have taken recently don't have this Tilt Shift anymore?
VI never noticed because I use the experimental build a lot now
VOh I was a noob and had post processing off hehe, changed that and now I have Tilt Shift on Steam, Oculus and even tried the Beta branch too and all have Tilt Shift on
Ahmmm. ok. so my next suggestion for @annahoo. - can you try removing your Open Brush.cfg entirely? (move it somewhere else and restart the app - you can move it back afterwards)
VTried Quest too, all good, no issues with Tilt Shift my end.
AOK just removed the config file, went into the same painting and took a screenshot and this is what it gave me. Vignette blur yes, but not the tilt shift
ANot sure what you mean by "vignette blur" (the vignette effect darkens - it doesn't blur) - that looks like tilt shift to me
Aok by vignette blur I just meant, it's blurred where vignette would typically be, the outer edges. That's not the effect I'm trying to get back though. If you check the edges of my first screenshot that I'm trying to recreate, the bottom right corner in the orange for example isn't blurred, but the black marks in the foreground are, as are the peach and orange marks in the background
Athat image looks cropped (the aspect ratio is different) - do you have the original?
Ayou're right though. it does look like depth of field.
AUnfortunately no, I grabbed that from my instagram, I had deleted the original.
AIt reminds me of an expensive camera lens that blurs the background and foreground, it's just such a nice effect that I'd love to keep incorporating into artwork

ACan you explain what you're doing in a bit more detail? Specifically the "in Unity" bit. Are you using the Unity SDK (or Toolkit as it's also known) to import an exported sketch into Unity?
VShould do as long as you have the SDK dropped in, haven't experimented with it myself but I remember seeing a demo scene about it in the SDK somewhere showing the music reactivity working?

Figured it out!
There is a Tilt Brush Audio Reactivity prefab in the Tiltbrush/Prefab folder.
You have to drag it into your scene. The prefab provides an Audio Reactivity Manager script that computes all the beats which are used by the TB shaders.

In the end I read the shader code, saw that they were drawing values generated by a script. I was about to put the script in my scene when I figured there has to be a prefab for this.... And found it!

UI apologize for repeating myself but I asked a few days ago about an issue im having with both open and tilt brush. Its just black screens, i can see and move my controllers but thats it. Im on pc vr. I would appreciate any help
AThat happens when oculus steam and unity aren't loaded in the right order or inside unity when its in error report mode.
Not a dev so don't have deeper insights than that.
Might help if you mentioned the headset you're using and any other relevant info you can think of that might be useful in troubleshooting/replicating.

I’m sorry I should have included this to start with. I’m on windows 10 with a valve index,@UNGOVERNABLE - AncientWorlds might be on to something. When you launch Open Brush - have you already started SteamVR? Can you see the home or the blue grid plane in the headset?
This is clutching at straws a bit as I've not come across this before as far as I can remember. Anything else unusual about your setup that might give us a clue?
UIm on the most recent version of both open brush and steamvr, everything else works without a problem. I've tried both launching open brush first and opening it while in steamvr. I've validated files, reinstalled, deleted all the files and then validated again. Nothing seems to be working
AI don't suppose you've got access to a different PC you could test on? Although my hunch is that would probably just work
AI don't have an Index myself but I'm pretty sure we'd have heard if there were issues running on the Index

AI'm running out of ideas. I'm down to the following:
- Install Unity, download the Unity project and run it inside Unity (even if it still breaks, we'll get better debug info)
- Wipe and reinstall Windows on your machine (not guaranteed to work but I really can't think of anything other than "your machine is cursed")
AIf you know anyone with a VR capable PC, then go round there and try your headset on their PC. That would at least tell us if it is your machine that's at fault.
UAlright, i dont have time to try that right now but ill try installing unity later

AYou want to use Unity 2019.4.something - install Unity Hub first and that will let you pick a version
