Video export using the usd and bat files is described here.

Camera paths are automatically generated when filming, at least on the pc side (need to open my quest again and look)
The video pathing feature, where available, can also be set up directly.
Takes a bit of practice to use it well, but it's a really nice system that's quite powerful.
Extremely useful for scenes that are too large to easily walk through or reach different angles.

If I have a horse model in unity, and I want the horse to ‘transform’ into a cube, how do I do this? I think I’ve seen stuff about this in machine learning art? Where you take 2 forms and the algorithm finds the midpoints between them? How could I do this in playmaker please? Thank you!!

There's pretty standard "spherize" and possibly "cubeize" deformers in blender and other 3d packages. I'd use a blendshape to morph between the two. It's a pretty well established technique.
Blendshapes pretty much "just work" when imported into unity.
Then you could maybe animate the blendshape either directly in playmaker or by creating a 2 frame animation and playing it back in playmaker.

This might be exactly what you're saying but it's worth spelling it out - you can use cube or some other regular shape as a midpoint to morph any two meshes into one another. Just morph mesh1 into a cube (or whatever), instantly switch to the other mesh pre-morphed into a cube and then animate that turning back into mesh2.

(there are algorthithms that morph arbitrary meshes into one another. It was called "Conform" in 3Ds Max I think. But they never work that well unless both meshes have a ton of triangles)

Basically -

Blender cast modifier to morph a mesh into a cube.
Duplicate the mesh & use a blendshape to save the morph into the mesh.
Export the mesh as an FBX with blendshapes turned on.
Import the FBX, you'll see a new blendshape slider on the import window
Set up an animation controller, the first animation with blendshape off the second with it on. You can control this with parameters from playmaker

You can have a ton more particles if your hardware is up to it and get a fairly solid surface.

Is there a quick and dirty way to reduce audio input volumes or mute in unity or prevent the video recorder from finding the audio source?
maybe just force the recorder to fail when looking for audio sources?
I'd prefer to be able to just change a script or have a command line entry, rather than post process using the batch file
Around 90% of the time I'm listening to windows media player when using open brush, an typically shoot around 10 videos a session
It would be nice to just be able to post them rather than do additional editing to get rid of unpostable audio

I guess that requires you having an input that is still there but does nothing. I've got Virtual Desktop microphone that works like that when I'm not using the app

I use Mute.FM. it mutes your specified music player when it detects any other audio source (you have granular control over what that is)
Idk how much control you have over the fade time or reaction time, but it's not immediate on the stock version.

That worked once. Then I got what I'm pretty sure is an unrelated video error, and it found the actual music source.
Going to try it again and remember to save changes, see how it goes

Really strange. Didn't have the error this time. Worked on the first video pass. After that, it apparently discovered the audio, or maybe the headphones found it.
