Yes, I did close the program and restart the computer, but I'm just now realizing that I didn't restart the headset. I'll check it today

Yes, that's the tool. None of them will work, and on the older version they stopped working. I upgraded to the most recent version and it still won't rebrush, recolor, or re anything

So - bearing in mind we haven't written the docs for the new beta yet (it's still unannounced) - there's a possibility it is working but you're doing something we didn't anticipate

The repaint tool works differently to the old recolor tool - the top three toggle buttons on the right control what properties of a stroke will be affected (colour, size and brush type)

In the screenshot only color is toggled on (the paint bucket). In this mode it should behave mostly the same as the old repaint tool. Pick a color and click on existing brush strokes. Is that not working for you?

Yes, not working. But as Ancientworlds made me realize, I restarted the pc, but not the headset, so I'll try it again today (both devices are off now) and see if that works. If it doesn't I'll get back to you. Thanks for your responses and help!

Okay so I just checked, and the rebrush doesn't work. The program is acting very buggy too. I've deleted all related files and plan to try downloading and installing it again. Is github the best place to download it from?

Absolutely, yes. Itch can autoupdate, Steam and Oculus do auto-update, but Github is also perfectly fine. (and if you want Monoscopic, you need github)

It also requires adb/SideQuest, unlike the Oculus beta channel, so it's one more step, but if someone's familiar with it, there's no reason not to use github! That's why we have it

(Mikeage makes a good point though - it's quicker and easier to install from Applab so you get automatic updates)

can i pls ask if i wanna pick up these orange spaghetti strands and for them behave like ropes, or writhe around and stuff, would you have a suggestion about that- im not using styly so i can use code etc - like can i make the object malleable, like transform into a material that behaves like a rope/ snake or do i need to rig it first? i actually meant an even more beginner friendly thing as to like how to access this runtime brush editing version? but also i want to ask pls you say 'if i can just animate this [slug brush] i will have something truly repulsive'- so thats actually what im hoping to do with the spaghettis
