The more water proof it gets, the less airflow it gets from my experience. The Torrent is great at keeping water out though. It has pit zips for some added breathability. I have an arctyrx softshell that I love also. Very breathable. Works well in a variety of temps. Not quite as waterproof, but does good in lighter rain.

Drastic changes in style - Topic of the day 4/29/25

I'm going through a drastic change in style now. I lost a ton of weight during the pandemic. Before that it was hard to really find clothes I even liked that fit and still worked from home after the pandemic, so I didn't really put much effort into how I dressed. It was pretty much tshirt and jeans/shorts type of wardrobe. Then I had a foot surgery that took a really long time to heal, and I gained a bit of it back. Now I'm at a point where nothing I purchased in the last 6 years really fits great, I'm losing some weight again, and I can find things I actually like that will fit. Joined this server to help figure out where to go with it. Trying to put more effort in. Stilling figuring it all out.

I like when they have models with a variety of body types and list the height/weight of the different models. Helps tell how something might fit on better.

Every employee at the Lululemon stores wear them. I don't think they look feminine. Pretty neutral to me. I have a northface one that's nice too.

First wide fit pants + baracuta g9 - hows the fit?

looks great. They aren't that wide at all. I recently bought some wider/bagggy pants and jeans after.years of only slim fit. I too am still getting used to them. Just a straight fit pair of jeans looked so huge to my eye at first. I wore a slim fit pair of pants to work this week and felt they looked almost skin tight lol. So I'm starting to adjust.

Warm weather shoe choice

I live in Phoenix and wear birkenstock boston or arizona's a lot in the summer. A lot in all seasons really. I need custom insole in my shoes also and the birkenstocks mold to your foot pretty well. They are super comfortable.
