Browse to the directory of a game under SteamLibrary/steamapps and check the permissions tab in the properties

I believe Steam is picky and won't run the game if the owner of the files isn't the same as the one trying to run the game.

If the screw is stripped, you might have some luck by putting a rubber band (about the width of the screw) between the screw and the screwdriver to unscrew it. That should give it some grip.

Bazzite will offer you to format it correctly, as Windows partitions won't be useful for installing Bazzite anyway.

And you can buy a small SSD enclosure (there are cheap ones) so that you can also use the smaller one over USB if you need to.
