fwiw it's possible the issue is fixed by just updating via flathub now - that is to say, they specifically downgraded to version 89

I got this from the #linux-general channel here - you need to rollback to an older flatpak. This is the command I ran to get back to 88 
 sudo flatpak update --commit=f6fdcc6280f87bc91206f8e9711e623e94ce2fd2bf0d8ea1ab18feaf95b34f2c com.discordapp.Discord

Turned everything to low and I didn't crash for a long time, although I was getting hitching near the end - not sure if these are related
