Timezone/ system clock not correct
So my time zone is utc -7 however discord will say it's 3 hrs ahead of system. I tried to go into time zone but it doesn't show anything. The clock is set to be automatic.
I did timedatectl and says system clock sync :no , ntp service inactive .
I just set bazzite up so not sure how I broke the clock ?...

Used the tzselect command and went through the interactive tool. Was alot less confusing then the big list

Disable Steam Gaming mode on Startup
Hi, I have just installed bazzite on my laptop and it automatically launches into steam deck mode on startup but because i have an NVIDIA GPU everything is lagging when im in Bigpicture mode. Is there a way too just always lunch into desktop mode from the start? I know you can select it when you download the iso but i think i selected the wrong option and i don't want too reinstall everything again. Thank you for your help 😄
Solution:
You can rebase to the desktop version without losing anything but the game mode. If you prefer game mode try turning on hardware acceleration. On nvidia that may cause graphical glitches though.
Lenovo S1 Yoga - Mouse and Keyboard randomly stop working
just installed bazzite on this rather old laptop, before I only used Windows 10 on it. I used the image for Intel, Gnome Desktop.
On boot sometimes my mouse and/or my keyboard does not work. Currently my Keyboard is working but my mouse does not, so I have to use my touchscreen for "mouse controls".
I am wondering if it has something to do with the fact it is a convertible and I did have it in tablet mode before. Maybe there is a problem with switching back to "normal laptop mode". So this is likely unrelated to Bazzite itself. But maybe you guys can push me in the right direction to find a solution.

How to know what graphics driver is in use?
I've still running an NVidia GTX 1070 and while I read that Bazzite doesn't support that generation, it runs reasonable well in the default install. There clearly is 3D acceleration going on etc. Now I'd like to know what driver is in use. I could not find that info in the various system info pages in the settings.
Problem running variety wallpaper changer in Fedora container
So I made a container using distroshelf and installed variety (Wallpaper changer). It won't launch after exporting it. Any ideas or suggestions how to get it working off at all?
Forced reboot caused ostree deploy to be missing
Hey everyone!
So a month or so ago I had an issue where I forced a cold reboot and it seems that because of this the ostree deploy that I was using got corrupt or simply vanished.
Regardless, I did some workaround by moving the boot.1 to boot.0 so I could boot into to system and since I was in an hurry I ended using the system as it was till today (yep, no reboot or shutdown since then afraid it wasn't going to boot again).

Can't connect to Wifi network (Broadcom/WPA)
I just tried Bazzite on an old-ish gaming PC, and it has a Broadcom BCM43228 Wi-Fi chip. It is detected fine and shows nearby SSIDs, but no matter what network I try to connect (tried FritzBox, Android hotspot) it doesn't connect. Telling from my FritzBox log, it doesn't even try to connect. I made sure I'm using the correct Wi-Fi password and the MAC address is whitelisted.

I am brand new to Linux and have seen some stuff about bazzite, so I decided to give it a go. With some grief and trouble shooting (partially my fault) I got bazzite running on my pc. Now I went to put in my password, it does not work. I have tried my password and the default bazzite password and neither work. I found the guide on how to reset user passwords for bazzite, but when pressing the esc key, I either do not get the window for grub that is showcased in the guide, or I pressed it too muc...

Black screen when Playing Games- forcing to reboot
Hello, I have just installed bazzite. I originally instaled the GNOME varriant (prefered) but upon installing a hand full of game Splitgate 2 and Palworld specifically the screen will go black and i can hear the audio for a bit and my discord chat. but i cant do anything, forcing me to do a hard reboot. I have tried changing to KDE Plasma but that does not seem to have worked either. I have tried forcing proton GE 10-9 tried to run them in windowed and full screen. and have tried a handful of different Launch options in steam. I have also tried turning off VRR or Gsync (which i did through display settings).
I am running a NVIDIA RTX 3080 10gb, AMD RYZEN 9 5900, 32 gbs ddr4 ram.

Nothing specific, but how did people learn how to use bazzite? I've got zero experience with any Linux systems and I feel like im floundering. Like googling stuff is fine, but I got no idea what any of the command lines are or how they work.
Should mention that this isnt a dig at bazzite, my user experience so far has been positive. But coming from windows has me shooketh....

lately, I've been having massive issues with navigating inside of Bazzite. moving around the interface is laggy and sometimes it takes a while for the input to responding to the interface

When I try and update Bazzite I get this error.

So, running

MSI B650I Ethernet limited connectivity
After a few minutes, my HTPC with an Msi b650i motherboard, drops connection but not completely. It still obtains an ip address but I’m not able to download anything. I’m using an Ethernet connection because the WiFi doesn’t seem to work at all since the adapter isn’t even recognized by Bazzite.
