1st print great, 2nd print cracking/seperation
Any ideas on what might be happening here?
1st print went great.
2nd print there was layer separation ~3/4 through the print.
The separation happened 10 layers after a bridging routine. I have a 4028 fan.
I thought I had it turned down but looks like not. it's running 100%. Does the excessive airflow and small part size cause the separation?...

Strange Artifacts on First layer
Hi guys,
I have these strange artifacts during the First layer.
I clean the bed with isoprophilic alcool a lot and warm the bed at 65 degrees for 10-15 mins before launching the print.

Poor bridging on first solid top layer
I am having problems with poor bridging on the first solid top layer. For some reason the ends of the bridge do not want to attach to the inner perimeters. This poor surface results in getting a poor final top layer unless I add a whole bunch of extra top layers.
The example shown was done with Polyterra PLA printing at 205C. Bridging flow is 0.8 and speed is 70mm/s while most of my solid infill is at 200mm/s. Cooling is set at 100% for bridging and I am using a 4028 fan.
The filament was just received and freshly opened today....

Gaps at the end of perimeters
I'm havign an issue where my perimeters dont close all the way, this is a new issue that started when I switched to a 0.6 nuzzle.
I made sure to switch to 0.6 in the slicer and in the printer.cfg
printed in PLA in 215c, 100mm/s, 5k accl, PA 0.032...

PETG, what to adjust?
I haven't printed PETG on this printer before and not very much on my previous machines either.
The test prints are -x% from 100% EM, as you can see the -9 have visible gaps and the -3 does not.
But both looks smeared out on lower layers, how come?

Bad Print Settings? - Nope......Nozzle
Lately I have been getting horrible prints. The problem was most evident in the sidewalls that were very irregular, wavy, rough, and very inconsistent; almost like fuzzy skin. The odd thing was the top and bottom flat surface area looked fine. In addition the infill looked very bad too; broken lines, gaps and any internal bridging often broke and failed to cover even short distances. Stringing was also very bad.
I went back to my tried and true filament, PolyTerra PLA, and tried to resolve the issue, printing a simple 25mm cube I changed temperatures, extrusion rates, speeds, etc.; and while some settings helped a little I could never resolve the issues.
Pictures here show what I was getting....
weird layers
so i did some stuff to my vc 400. i switched the heater of the hotend and i made the wire loom a bit bigger to reliefe stres of the cables. othe then that i didnt change anything. i also had to pick the printer up and move it, but im not sure how that wouldve changed anything. well that took quite long to upload . i think its the piano cable it might be to thin.

subtle wavyiness surface finish
I just switched to 3.1 upgrade, extrusion less gantry, FMMM, 4028 fan.
I'm getting wavy pattern which seems to be on the thin short layer time sections....

Shape of inner Perimeters visible on the outside
Hey guys.. I am having a weird issue with a Gridfinity bin, that I am trying to print.
This is not an official gridfinity bin, so maybe it is model related?
On the inside, this bin has a huge fillet, and for some reason, the contours of this fillet are visible on the outside. On one side, its so bad that it almost results in a "crack" / recess / ...
On the other side, the shape is slightly visible... The rest of the bin looks great........

sketchy layers
I am having that classic problem where the print lines skip in and out as shown in the pic.
Unsure if nozzle temp is not accurate, if motor torque is too low, or flow rate is just too high.

Why this line?
I've been printing this cat iglo for a week now, it's never ending 😅 But I've learnt a lot about my VCore 3.1 400, but one this I can't figure out it why I get this layer bulging out at the same spot in every print.
It always comes just after or at the last top fill layer.
I'm using Orca 1.6.6 and have tried both Classic and Arachne mode. In the slicer there are no layers protruding like that....

VFAs and not straight lines
I have VFAs that for the life of me, I cannot get rid of. I also found a slight wiggle in lines that should be straight. I have played with the belt tension and attempted to square everything up/ fix racking. I'm really not sure what else to do here. It is worst in X, but present in all sides, including when printed at 45 degree angle. Please help

Problem With Temperature
Good morning,
I still have a problem with my V-core.

ASA multi part fails (singles print fine)
Printing some enclosure parts and optionals. Single parts come out fine but anytime I do multiples it fails and the tip gets goopy.
Any idea where to start tweaking? Retraction?...

Hole....
Looks good, other than some cooling issues lower down. Does this look like a cooling problem?
