RDR2 from epic doesn't start (using cloudypad)

I try to run rdr2 from Heroic after using the integrated Epic login from Heroic, But I get this error (I;m using this inside docker with cloudypad) saw the same problem here in history but is was a from someone who compile the source code by himslef something weird is that the Rockstar didn't install how can I overcome this thanks in advance...

Game Flashback doesn't launch normally, but does via "run EXE on prefix"

I'm new to Heroic Game Launcher. I'm using the Heroic game launcher flatpack. I installed the game Flashback via GOG in Heroic under Kubuntu 24.04. I'm using Wine version "Proton - GE-Proton-latest".
In Heroic, if I click Play the game, the game starts and then crashes in 5 seconds. If I change to a different proton version the same thing happens.
I have tried changing different UI settings without any impact. If I go to Flashback (settings) in the Heroic UI and scroll down to "run EXE on prefix" (next to "winetricks"), then click on the flashback.exe , the game starts and works every time. I have reproduced this a few times. Why is "run exe on prefix" different than how Heroic normally starts the game via "play"?...

Solution:

try disabling Comet in general settings > advanced

GOG login doesn't work / library doesn't load

Rocket League on Debian 12

i am unable to run Heroes of Might and Magic 3 on herioc launcher.

on fedora linux,installed herioc, installed homm3 through gog in launcher, however no matter what i do game is not launching, rather only writing "launching" then "playing" for a few seconds and does nothing. tied switching wine version and did not help.

Whenever I launch Homam I get to select the settings or launching the game inside dosbox, but after choosing to launch the game, the same screen just turns black. PS: I have issues providing a link for the log file...

Failed downloads on steam for windows

I had been playing games on my mac using heroic's steam for windows like rocket league since i can get workshop maps etc. Recently, i had to do an update and the download always failed, slowly or immediately turning into 0bps disk usage as seen attached. It would also give reasons such as "content servers unavailable" or "no network connection" even though i had been connected the whole time, I even tried different wifi networks in different homes. its as if it cant connect to steam servers or something....

Death Stranding Suddenly not syncing saves

So I am playing death stranding from the epic store on my steamdeck and on my pc, syncing saves from one another. It was working fine until yesterday when I tried to findout why the steam shortcut for the game wasn't working, and chaged some settings on my steam deck (didn't touch the PC). Now I play on the steam deck, normally (steam shortcut working now, previously was launching heroic inside steam), exit and check syncing and it says the saves are synced to the cloud. When I go to my pc it detects the new save, says it has downloaded it but when I go ingame the save is not updated. The same happens when I play on the PC, I exist, it syncs but when I go to the deck it doesn't update the saves. It seems like both systems are uploading to a diffent place? or downloading to a different place? The thing is, I search my system for another download location for the synced saves and none show up. On the desktop saves goes to /var/mnt/ssd-nvme/Heroic/Prefixes/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/KojimaProductions/DeathStranding/81000cae7a02407c8426531435a66561 and on the steam deck it goes to /home/deck/Heroic/Prefixes/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/KojimaProductions/DeathStranding/81000cae7a02407c8426531435a66561 . On both folders there is this pfx synlink that links back to drive_c that I think is used by proton. I do not understand what is going on becacuse everything seems to be properly setup....

I ended up getting it to work on its own, but not with the HGL. Had to use Wine32. It is documented if anyone else runs into this
