Is Heroic supposed to eat up a lot of battery?

I use Heroic on my M1 MacBook Pro (16GB RAM, 2020 model), and during the day I play approximately 1 hour of Rocket League. My battery goes from 100% to 0% in this singular hour, and my laptop is usually dead by noon. I close all background applications except for stuff that I need to keep open (today it was Firefox and Inkscape). Is this normal, and if it isn't, is there anything I can do to decrease the amount of battery that Heroic is eating up?

Rocket league won’t launch

Unable to start Star Wars Battlefront II (Classic, 2005) GOG

Many Games Suddenly Crash On Startup (Latest Ubuntu)

All games were working fine, Heroic started notifying that several games had update available, then a few days after that several but not all games crash out on startup but launch ok from Steam after adding as "Non-Steam Game" so it's probably not something like a video driver update.
