Baldurs Gate 1 from GOG does not run on Steamdeck

Using Heroic game launcher. If i understand correctly, this is a Linux version of the game and should run natively with no problems. But complains that it does not have libssl available to it. I believe this is something that I have to install? I have tried searching for this on Discover but it does not find it.

"Game not found" error in heroic

I have gotten the Game Not Found error for what looks like 2 different issues and how I had to solve them....these are also games installed through Heroic. I have had one of these 2 things effect about 14 games so far... 1. game path shows garbage charactors... If the game is installed with non alpha numeric, +, -, _, or space. The game path in heroic can suddenly show some garbage characters in the game path as an example if its directory is named "Rachet & Clank" or "Fred's game" I had to go in with dolphin or explorer to that directory and rename the directory and remove the & and ' respectively then in heroic direct it to the updated path and heroic is then happy and the game works. 2. corrupted game path with an added / or \ ... In Linux the game path starts " // " vs " / " is generating a game not found error. In windows its something like " x:\ " vs " x:\ " ... in both of these cases setting the game path just reverts and does not take. For this one the solution I have found in heroic is to: uninstall the game and select to remove the logs and settings, then to reinstall the game to correct the issue. (sorry for all the edits, Discord is throwing out and not displaying some of the repeats as if its code and not text. The double \ refuses to display at all which is in the first "x:\ " that is being displayed but not the second one.) ...

GTA 5 black screen

Getting a black screen when playing GTA 5 on Arch Linux. Connecting to Rockstar Games Services works just fine but after that I end up in a black screen. which the program manager says is Rockstar Games Launcher...

GTA 5 not launching

when i first launched it the rockstar launcher opened and did all the things it does the first time but after that the game never launched, i saw a video on yt and did these setting still same log and the game never launched i'm new to macOS gaming and i really want this to work

GOGDL downloads are slow if it even starts.

1. Downloading any GOG game from Heroic, it;s been a joke since always, it is like playing a russian roulette. 2. No, it doesn't happen using web browser. 3. Deja vu never escapes me....

Fortnite Crashing on launch since update

Does Heroic have the same security vulnerabilities as GOG Galaxy?

I heard that Heroic uses GOG Galaxy under the hood for GOG integration. Does this mean that it will make your machine vulnerable to the same bugs that GOG Galaxy will, such as CVE-2020-24574?

Return to castle wolfenstein crashing/not launching

First log is when using wine-9.0, second proton 9.0 When using any proton (I've tried 9.0, experimental and GEProton9-18 a window pops up and dissapears quickly, with wine my monitor changes resolution and a wine error is displayed (winecrashlog.txt). Also attaching heroic logs....

Witcher 3 GOG cloud saves

Hi, I just cleaned up my GOG cloud saves for Witcher 3. I manually deleted everything I did'nt want anymore in game playing via GeforceNow and also using GOG's manage cloud saves website. However, when I try to download my saves via Heroic, it says there are over 1400 cloud saves (should now be less than 10 after clean up). Why does Heroic still see deleted saves?...

Rocket League launching, but no visible window on screen or in dock

Epic games add-on not showing

I bought an add on for bus simulator 21 from epic games. On the website it said I can find it in the library but on heroic launch it doesn't show up. The games itself shows up and works without any issue. I already checked, that it's the same account and there are no filter that would hide the add on....
