DH not doing anything past render distance
I've set the cpu load to "I paid for whole cpu" and looked in one direction for about 10 minutes now, it wont load anything
Solution:
make sure to do this:

Sorry if this is redundant but...
Is DH 2.3 still able to be used on servers EVEN if the server does not have 2.3 installed? For example, am I still able to load the chunks myself and have them still be saved when I log off the server?
Can having DH installed on the server cause TPS lag?
Simple question. As the title says, can having DH installed on the server cause the server's TPS to drop? I was planning on using DH serverside so players wouldn't have to wait to pregen the LOD chunks but Im scared its gonna tank the server's TPS and make it unplayable
DF LOD's are black, no known incompatible mods installed
I double checked that I'm not running Geocluster, I am running GeOre and GeOre Nouveau if they function similarly to geocluster, and none of the other mods on the known incompatible list showed up in my mod manager. I know the faq said it's probably a mod that changes lighting, but I'm not sure what mod would be doing that. I'm essentially playing on ATM Arcana v0.9, but I added some mods on top. Of the mods, I added, I'm confident none of them are the issue since I'm running those mods on another instance with DH and don't have the same issue. I'm including both mod lists just in case though.

LODs not generating
They have worked before, but sometimes I'll launch the game and there is just fog at the end of my render distance. 1.20.1 Forge highly modded instance.
Distant Horizons makes the game crash when joining a server with a save file for an older mc version
Let me clarifiy since it might sound confusing; my instance is a fabric 1.12.5 with the latest mod loader patch as of now (16.14), and i have hoth DH and ViaFabricPlus installed. The issue happens whenever i try to enter a world that has an old world format, thats not optimized for newer versions of minecraft. Meaning that if a 1.16.1 server runs a 1.16.1 world, i can join it thanks to viafabric but really i cant because DH keeps erroring before i even get in and ends up crashing the instance.
TL;DR
Im just asking for an option to disable DH alltogether for specific servers...
Solution:
Still no, you can hide everything DH does by disabling the rendering, and you can set CPU load to minimal, then in advanced threading decreasing everything even more. That will effectively disable DH, but DH will still at least try to do things
Weird pillar
So i got this weird pillar in my base. Wasn't there before. The world is single player. I didn't build anything there.
When i turn distant horizons off it goes away. In the second picture are my mods. There are no logs since that game doesn't crash....
Solution:
Already deleted the sql file

Pregened World Chunk Issues
Pregened a world in Singleplayer with DH then moved it over to a server but the chunks are loading in very randomly.

Is setting up a server with max LOD distance intensive on a server?
If so what would be the recommended LOD distance.
Solution:
oh, well the main factor is how many lods are being generated/updated at once which depends on cpu load and how many players are in different places
Overdraw on First Load
I beleive this is overdraw right? I've read previous posts about this but haven't been able to find a way to prevent it. It's suddenly begin happening on every first connect to my server, and is immediately fixed by simply reloading the shaders (Iris - Complementary). I'd like to solve this so my players don't need to hit reload every time they start playing now. I either need to find what's causing it, or find a way to automatically reload the shaders upon joining.
Anyone know any common settings in Complementary that could cause this, or a way to prevent it? DH cave culling doesn't seem to help, thanks!...

LODs taking a very long time to load
Multiplayer DH 2.3.2-b
The LODs have already been pregenerated through the dh pregen command.
The CLI shows my server's internet speed and speedtest shows my internet speed.
LODs take like 30 minutes to load only around me. I dont think this is completely the reason however, I must state that I have my pterodactyl panel connected to the game server through Tailscale. However, I am directly connecting to the game server so I dont think this is the issue....
Solution:
Nevermind, putting the CPU impact up fixed the issue

LOD Chunks Rendering Slower than Frametime
I have an issue which I've discussed extensively with the developers of Flashback. I have a recording of a large structure that I am using DH to render in full without murdering my computer. Overall the quality of the scene is quite good however I am struggling to get the structure to render properly in Flashbacks output. The problem seems to be that either distant horizons or iris/shaders or a combination of the two are not implementing flawless frames properly. Meaning flashback isn't being to...
Random out of place server LODs
Playing on a 1.21.1 Fabric Minecraft server with the latest version of the DH mod. I pregenerated the overworld with INTERNAL_SERVER, and it's been fantastic. However, a few hours ago these out of place LODs showed up. Everyone on the server is experiencing this, so I know it's not a client side problem. You'll notice a friend of mine built a home here, so maaaybe something went screwy with the LOD updating? Wouldn't make too much sense given that there's plenty of other LOD updates that were successful.
There hasn't been any errors or anything like that. I am using world-gen mods (Terralith + Tectonic).
Any help in identifying the problem and/or why it happened or just a solution would be much obliged :joewait:...
Solution:
Assuming those are the only LODs that have this visual abnormalities, simply place or break any block within that section, wait for 5 minutes and it will go away.

Distant generation internal server crashes game
Im playing a modpack with about 200 mods. The lod gen works great at 256 chunks but the second i turn on distant generation set at internal server my game crashes. This is in singleplayer
Gregtech: New Horizons
Possible compatibility for Minecraft Forge 10.13.4.1614 (Minecraft 1.7.10) for this modpack?
Solution:
One user is working on doing a backport of Distant Horizons, but it's still under heavy development. Few bugs needs to be ironed out caused by the old game version itself.
Bad Chunk Loading and Stuff
i don't really know how to explain this issue well, but i've noticed that from not even very far away, some chunks just.. dont load properly?

Super slow pregen on server
Got the following mods and pregening on a AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
any settings I should be tweaking in the config?...
Solution:
You can use the following preset for the highest CPU usage.
/dh config common.threadPreset I_PAID_FOR_THE_WHOLE_CPU
