How to get Exif and People data on searchMemories API
I’m trying to call the searchMemories API (https://immich.app/docs/api/search-memories). The base request works, I get the list of assets but it’s not returning EXIF or people data for those assets. The docs kind of imply this information might be included, but I doubt it’s loaded by default based on how the other APIs behave.
- My first thought was to use: withExif and withPeople as url params (other api's have it in the post body)

No luck, this didn't work....

So this is maybe not an immich issue perse but i was struggling with the sync from icloud (apple photos) to immich and was honestly curious why it was taking days to hash a thousand photos. Now I played with the log settings (first went into SHOUT but that is the most silent one apparently) to obtain all info. Basically my log is taken over by failing to retrieve photos. Is my icloud corrupt in some way or is it blocking immich to download?
Hardware transcoding on UGREEN NAS
Just wanted to create this post in case someone else is having this issue. I found that hardware transcoding wasn't working after installing immich on UGREEN NAS and in fact enabling it caused all transcoding to stop working altogether. Only hint of an error was from the logs (no /dev/dri/ devices found). Turns out you need to include the below lines in your compose configuration in order to point the image to the built in GPU:
devices:
- /dev/dri/renderD128:/dev/dri/renderD128
- /dev/dri/card0:/dev/dri/card0...
Restoring from Backup on UnRaid
Hello!
I am using UnRaid on an old Synology NAS; I got Immich set up a little while ago using the Docker Compose Method and am absolutely loving it. However, I was messing around with my docker containers and I somehow did something to completely reset my Immich instance - when I open up the web UI, it asks me to create a new admin login, and there are no hosted photos. All of my files are still in the Immich library and the backup files are there as well; I also have a backup of the entire immich folder elsewhere, so I'm not concerned about losing anything.
I would like to use the Immich restore function as detailed here but, embarrassingly, I don't know where in UnRaid to input the commands. Do I update the Docker compose file, or enter the command line in the immich_server Docker instance and input them there?

Changing domain of working setup
Hi all, I'm moving from DuckDNS to deSEC and I'm not able to connect to my deSEC URL. I have deSEC set up for other services and they're all running fine, but I get "This site cannot be reached" when I attempt to access Immich.
Do I just need to change the external domain in "Server Settings" to get this to work?...
Photos are all over the place date wise
My immich album has photos in wrong dates everywhere, I just set it up. Photos from years ago showing on the timeline for last week. Not sure what happened, it was initially correct and after re-running some of the background jobs it's fubar.
Is there a way to re-index or re sort everything correctly?...
Immich on a system that has i5-14500 vs 5700x + RTX 3060
Hi all, I am planning to build a somewhat system that can act as my NAS + home server.
I currently have a home server that has a i5-14500/16gb ram.
I want to reuse some parts so I planned to build my NAS/Server box on a AMD 5700x/32gb ram/RTX 3060 gpu.
My question is, which system would be better to spin an Immich instance on?...
Something crazy going on
I had data loss so I restored 100% from backup which was fine and worked well. This was on a new os completely and immich worked fine last night. I shut down pc overnight after backing up. Today I turn on PC and immich and immich tells me to set up an admin account as the first account in order to set up the machine... What's going on.
How to stop albums from different devices merging during backup?
When backing up from mobile, Immich auto-creates/merges albums by name.
On multi-device setups this causes — every phone has a Camera or Screenshots album, and they all get merged together on the server.
Is there a way to map(like immich-cli, immich upload -A):

Hi, I'm on the latest version of Immich v1.140.1. I used ffmpeg to convert a video over to a mkv with opus audio and svtav1. I am getting the error "No video with supported format and MIME type found. Am I using something that is not supported?
Unhide person from facial recognition people
I accidently hide a person from my "facial recognition people page".
I want to unhide this person, but I cant find it anyhere. Even if I go to "person hide / unhide" section ( I dont know how it is called exactly in english because I am using german interface), I cant find this person here.
Is there any command, that resets the hide/unhide-status of all people? I don NOT want to reset all assigned faces, I just want to unhide the hidden people again....
Immich 1.140.1 - "People" constantly reload
I updated to v1.140.1 today. I am using a docker stack integrated into Unraid. After the update I can´t open the people page in my immich instance. As soon as I click on "people" the page seems to canstantly reload. The icon in the browser tab blinks, the immich logo appears and disappears constantly. The page never gets to be loaded fully.
Just now I dicovered the same errornous behaviour when trying to open https://my.immich.url/user-settings or /admin/users or /explore or /map or /albums and so on...
So it seems, that ONLY https://my.immich.url/photos is working...

Only one external library scanning
Opened a ticket before about only one of my two libraries scanning, and was told to try in a vm instead. I put it into a vm and used smb to connect to a nas, but it's still not scanning.
The path can be seen by Immich, but for some reason, it's not scanning.
Strangely, it's the same library that's not scanning, so any help would be much appreciated...
iOS app skips some photos
On iPhone, I set the Immich app to access my full photo library, but several old photos do not appear in the timeline.
Initially, those missing photos appeared as greyed error boxes like the first attached image.
After reinstalling the app, however, the grey error boxes are gone, but the photos still do not appear in the timeline....
Batch of screenshots with wrong date
What do you guys do with photos from a trip with a clearly wrong date, that they're not even offset between themselves?
My case is, after a trip, my gf usually takes the best screenshots from the drone videos. Obv these screenshots have no metadata, and the date of a couple weeks after the trip (when she did that).
They belong to different days during the trip, so it's hard to manually match them now (plus this is for several trips, just asking as general rule how to handle)....
Immich creates duplicates (again)
It seems to NOT sync what’s on my phone but creates a DUPLICTATE on remote when the asset is a Live Photo.
1. take a Live Photo
2. see how it doesn’t sync it to remote (cloud stays „no sync“)
3. see how on remote instead it creates a playable asset (has the video play triangle)...
