You can appeal copyright strikes, but be aware that copyright law applies. Appealing a copyright strike is technically, for lack of better terms, a legal process, and should be dealt with carefully, and with proper knowledge If you received a copyright strike, it is because the alleged owner of the copyrighted material has submitted a genuine and lawful takedown request with enough information to give Google no reasonable doubt If you appeal the strike, you are legally saying you are in fact the lawful owner of the copyrighted material, and you would need to prove that . If you believe you used the content under fair use laws, you would also have to prove that More information https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2814000/ https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/1281991/

I mean I don't really want to dispute it. I deleted the video already and I would just like to get the copyright strike removed somehow.

I believe the only way to do this is by disputing it. I think I remember reading something about a short course that YouTube offers to people who received their first strike, which teaches you about copyright, and that can remove strikes early, but I'm not too sure

Seems like that copyright school is actually part of the process of removing your strike, without doing it maybe your strike remains indefinitely?

It seems too long to wait 90 days till it's removed tbh. Would be great if there was a way to get it removed sooner. Do you know if it's possible to monetize your channel with one copyright strike?
probablyraging
It would seem so, but I think this is referring to outstanding, unresolved strikes, yours will be resolved automatically in 90 days, and once you've completed that copyright school
Copyright strikes may affect your ability to monetize. In addition, if your active live stream is removed for copyright, your access to live streaming will be restricted for 7 days.

if its on YouTube then yes, all you have to do is if its a certain clip that got striked edit that out and the next morning it should be good if its a audio strike then YouTube will have a button that allows you to mute the audio, and again the next day it should be good anything besides YouTube I am not sure...
