Athis seems like it is a new feature in 3.4, but silk uses 3.3 currently (I don't believe 3.4 has even been fully released yet)
so once 3.4 releases silk will be updated to include this too.
can't say for certain whether or not the silk windowing will be updated to feature this, but it wouldn't take much to implement it, and if you wanted to you could submit a PR to have this added too.

Aif you really wanted to you could manually replace the glfw files with ones for 3.4 and then find the integer value of
MOUSE_PASSTHROUGH and sorta force it into the window hint, but I wouldn't recommend doing that at allDOk that's unfortunate. So you mention SDL may be able to do it - is there an example/tutorial that draws a simple square in SDL where I can get this click-through, transparent window enabled? Just starting out with Silk.NET and really want to get this working. I'm trying to 'fail fast' based on the features I need, but I'd really like to 'succeed' as well

DYe that was what I was trying to do, but wasn't sure - the documentation/tutorials are few and far between. But happy to test using SDL

Aat that point you'd have to write your own windowing system though, I don't believe silk initializes glfw until you call

Ahmm, seemingly not but I'm not at a machine to test it out at the moment - however you can use reflection to get the internal
and if you can get that working then I wish you the best of luck because there's no guarantees that it will be happy with the fact that you've swapped 3.3 dlls with 3.4 (for example function signature changes could cause a lot of problems)

DThe demo code below will allow me to setup the window borderless and transparent etc. And I'd be able to add the clickthrough if using 3.4 and setting that window hint, so that would all work. Now I'm wondering, how could I use that created window and somehow get all the goodness from Silk.NET like event handlers etc

FIf is funny, because all modern 3d characters a made from quads, if use triangles we get artifacts on deformed skin, triangulated surface cant bend smoothly.

VQuads can't bend smoothly either, you're probably thinking of various curved surfaces which can be defined by a quad and the normal and/or tangent at various points, akin to splines
Ultimately the surface has to be triangulated, or the rendering engine needs to support those curved surfaces more directly

FI mean - when we model face in Blender or Maya, we never use triangles, beacase when face animated there will be visible “issues”. In old games with low poly character triangles were often used to reduce poligon count.

MHello, I am working on a research project which is based on C#. We have to make some calculations with the use of Vulkan or OpenGL on compute shaders and we have nothing to render.
Before digging into the source code of Silk I'd like to know the following things...
a. is it possible to be integrated only for the use of compute shaders?
b. is it possible to load shaders that have already been compiled by the Vulkan CLI compiler?

RI think Vulkan is going to be your only option assuming you don't want a window. If you are fine with a window then they both work
