Just for Information, @walmis . My VKB stick stopped to work. After some troubleshooting I found out that the was a cable loose in the VKB Adaptor. Not sure if it was just a bad solder, or if it was some pulling on the cable. I just Re routed it so it has a little more slack now.

Yeap. Kind off looked like a bad solder but not completely sure. The cable seems to be tight enough in the adaptor to not being pulled out.

I've been flying the Huey and noticed the trim button does not release stick pressure. As I understand it, pressing the trim button should release all force leaving the stick 'loose'. When I release the trim button, the stick should be held in place where I left it. The special options for the HUEY are set to Joystick without springs and FFB. In the MISC options, force feedback is enabled. In 'central position trimmer mode', the trim button releases stick pressure as it should but as soon as I release the trim button, the stick goes back to center.

Unless thins have changed with recent updates the Huey was working fine for me a week or 2 back. I have my special settings on default I think not Joystick without springs and FFB, maybe try changing that to a different setting option?

I'll jump on DCS later & have a look with my RHINO, but just checked then & my settings are on default? Are you running the force trim through VPforce app? & are you running the Telemetry app too? I wasn't using either of those last time I was in the Huey, something might be going on there?

Yeah I think that might interfere with DCS's FFB, I think it's mainly just for sims like msfs that don't have ffb or force trim. I'm not sure what's going on, if you have no other things running like that force trim setting or the Telemetry app & you have the in-game settings right I'm not sure why it's not working. I'll check it out on my settings when I get the chance

Also make sure "Forced effect" is not enabled for the spring. That will override DCS's trim.

Some airplanes have only pitch trim and while it is usually (...trying to thing of an exception for fixed wing, but don't know any, so let's say -- pretty much always) operated with a separate control (wheel, or sometimes switches) it might also move the stick into a new pitch "neutral" position. I assume Rhino supports that?

Hey m8, So in something like msfs (you need a 3rd party software to have ffb effects in msfs2020) generally speaking the trim wheel or switch will move the stick to a new 'trimmed position' either forward or back from the center. However most of the 3rd parts apps for ffb in msfs don't have force trim implemented for heli's, this is where you can use the force trim keybind feature from VPforce app. DCS ffb effects depend on the module maker & what they implemented, the Huey & Ka 50 both have 'propper' acting force trim where when you activate the button the stick will loose basically all resistance & once you move it to the desired 'trimmed position' you release the trim button & the stick will stay in the new position as it's center. Other games/sims like IL2 have ffb enabled natively & you also get stick movement with trim. So DCS ffb & trim effects depend on the module unless you use VPforce Telemetry App. MSFS2020 needs a 3rd party app for ffb effects but generally doesn't have force trim for heli's but trim wheels etc. will move the stick in fixed wing. IL2 has good ffb effects all around including stick movement with trim. Basically whatever telemetry can be sent to the RHINO from the sim/game it can turn them into ffb effects.

The HUEY is not functioning as you describe. Only the Apache has a functioning trim button. When I release the trim button in the Huey, the stick does not stay where I put it but rather goes back to center.

Not sure about the Huey, but other Bell helicopters I've flown without autopilot IRL, you only use the force trim while on the ground.

Hey m8, sorry been busy irl. If I enable the constant Force in the effects tab the stick get's pulled to the back right a few degrees, maybe about 10% or so of the total axis movement, this only seems to happen though when I have the end stops enabled. I can post my screenshots of the settings
