MA10 uses the F16 grip on an extension...
MNot the same grip but close, A10 is derived from it. F-16 grip has a pinky paddle and a 13deg termination at the base. Real Warthog grip has no pinky paddle and the bottom terminates flat. They also have different DMS castles.
F-16 being a sidestick and needs the forward tilt for ergonomy. A10 is a center stick and the grip can't smack the panel that needs to be in pilot reach. Pics directly from Essex.

AOh, that's faster than I thought. I just preordered the base and I expected a waiting time of 10-15 months.
AOuch, I just noticed I gave the wrong mail address, had a typo.
AHopefully a DM is the correct way to solve this

GI hope this helps you have an idea of the height with the winwing adaptor (when the Rhino is ready for shipping you can order the adaptor). The adaptor can be seen as these 2 "rotative clamps".

WYep, that's correct. No other axis sensing is required, which simplifies design a lot

MThere are, I also modeled them and have them as Fusion or step files if you need. Belts picked up through Beidler's Belts (Gates GT tooth, 5mm pitch... HTD belts are more common), small pulleys you can find on Amazon/Aliexpress etc and big ones you can print. I just posted some pics in the showcase channel of the small form factor version (150mm cube) I'm developing into kits to offer to go with walmis's kits.
TI have ordered the 86BLF04 motors. If you have STP files of those, that would be really helpful!
MNo I modeled the 57xxx motors. I am working on a kit for the bigger motors but for now am using a generic modeled Nema34 that's 95mm long I found on GrabCAD for free. I’m thinking of placing an order in the next few days but before I do, can someone provide some idea of how ‘smooth’ the force feedback/range of joystick motion is? For those that have tried FFB steering wheels, is the Rhino more like a Fanatec direct drive wheel or like the Logitech G920?

RHaven't tried the DD steer wheels, but I have had experiences with MSFFB2 and Logitech G940. Rhino's motor are SMOOTH. You are not going to notice the cogging.

AI don't have experience with DD wheels so I can't really say much about that
Ait's hard to describe what the rhino feels like
Afirst of all, I have never used a joystick where I couldn't feel the mechanism at all and I have tried a lot of them
Ayou can feel the mechanism working on the rhino as well, but it doesn't feel clunky at all
Aall in all for me the total feel of the Rhino, free from the tyranny of springs, is just so different compared to non-ffb sticks that whatever you can feel of the mechanism working just kind of adds to the feel of pulleys and levers working on actual control surfaces
JIt'll be 10+ months before you would be asked to put money down - sooner you get in line sooner you'll get yours and you can leave the line at anytime

NWhat’s the mounting situation on a MonsterTech base? I see the adapter in the form but is it functionally fine with the force feedback and such?
AI don't know about the Monstertech base, but whatever your solution, it will need to be solid through and through. The Rhino weighs over 5kg, but that's just the start. It's going to push and pull and shake and rattle a lot if you use it at high settings. My gut feeling is that aluminum profile -based setups (like I think monstertech is) are fine as long as they are very solidly attached to something really sturdy and heavy
II’m about to hook mine up to a monster tech desk mount. We’ll see how it does. I can post in a day or two

KIt feels as smooth, if not smoother than a high end non ffb base, such as the Virpil WarBRD. Yes, that smooth! I was a skeptic until I got mine, too. You will be pleased.
